First of all, I had legs where the calf bulge was especially prominent. I think it was even more noticeable because my legs tensed up easily and became hard every time I walked. They also swelled easily, so I had just given up and lived thinking legs were in the realm of the gods. Then I found out about calf Botox, and I really thought it was a blessing from heaven. (It hurt insanely badly, but the effect was fairly good.) But after getting it two or three times, I felt like the muscles in the back of my calves were attaching a little strangely. When I looked it up, they called it compensatory muscle, and I thought I shouldn’t get any more, so while searching, I learned about reduction surgery and just went for a consultation first. Before going, I didn’t even know what kind of procedure it was. After searching a bit and looking it up, I found out it was a procedure that blocks the nerves going to the calf muscles so they can no longer grow and are made to shrink altogether... My eyes opened wide and I booked right away.. The consultation flowed very smoothly. As soon as I said my concern was my calves, they diagnosed me precisely with ultrasound and showed me the muscle layer, so I thought, so my legs are like that... and had a bit of a reality check? lol I wondered whether the nerve-blocking procedure would be effective, but they said that because I actually had a lot of muscle, the before-and-after difference would be amazing. So I booked the procedure, and on the day of it I was so nervous I couldn’t think straight at all. Somehow the procedure ended, and at first they were extremely hard and walking was uncomfortable. That swelling lasted about 2 weeks. Blessed are those who endure... I thought, and waited patiently. And time did not betray me. My calves gradually shrank, the lines became smooth, and after that they started becoming slimmer. It has now been about a year and a half since the procedure, and I’ve even had a retouch. There’s nothing uncomfortable at all, and the results are still maintained. I did control my diet because I was worried that if I gained weight, fat would also go to my legs. But since it was originally muscle, not fat, I didn’t do anything too intense. If my leg line used to look like a young radish, now it looks like a carrot. Smooth, straight legs that extend cleanly... I never thought that would be possible in my life. I recommend it.
