Do swelling injections work?

I was really swollen after my first surgery, so I got it several times, but it didn't really work, and since it's a steroid ingredient, I feel like there wasn't much benefit to getting it...

[@i냥이] Swelling injections are probably mostly Dexa??? If you're curious, search dexamethasone online!

[@쩨리리리리] I searched it and it says blood sugar can rise or the immune system can be suppressed. You really shouldn't get it often

[@i냥이] Right The place where I had my first surgery offered unlimited swelling injections, but even then, the minimum interval was 2 weeks!!!

I got it, and the effect was pretty okay! But how should I put it, it feels like it speeds up the swelling going down? Like, swelling that would go down over 2 weeks suddenly goes down all at once in a day or two, and after that the swelling doesn't go down

[@i냥이] Right! It's the difference between going down slowly or going down late!! But I absolutely couldn't stand seeing my swollen eyes, so I was fairly satisfied

[@WhoAreYouHacking] Lol yes, that's exactly how I feel right now lol. I just got the laser and injection and came out, and I hope it works well for me too.

For me, the swelling care the hospital provided worked well!! When I woke up in the morning, my eyes felt subtly tight and heavy when opening them, but when I went to Allo for a follow-up check and received aftercare, the tight feeling was definitely reduced.

[@Flexiblehun2] Oh, so it does have some effect. For me, maybe because it hasn't even been a day yet, I do feel like it's gotten a bit better, but I don't know yet if it's meaningfully better I hope it works well for me too!!
