Hello! It has already been 3 months since I had revision epicanthoplasty, my first lateral canthoplasty, and double eyelid revision surgery. Time really flies, but I never imagined before that I would end up writing a review like this. I had my first epicanthoplasty at a fairly famous clinic that had a reputation on Instagram and cosmetic surgery apps for being glamorous and pretty. The event price was also quite reasonable. At first, I thought, “It turned out well,” but as time passed, the shape of the epicanthoplasty gradually became strange. At first it was fine, but at some point the epicanthoplasty line changed into a “ㄷ” shape, and my eyes actually looked farther apart than before surgery. People around me also kept saying, “If you get epicanthoplasty, your eyes would look really pretty,” so I felt upset. Even though I had already had the surgery, hearing that meant the surgery I paid for didn’t even show, and actually made me look worse. On top of that, my eyes originally had almost no Mongolian folds, but after surgery, maybe because of the scarring, it looked like Mongolian folds had formed, which made me even more upset. People around me reacted more with “It would have been better if you hadn’t done it” rather than “Something about your eyes changed,” so I worried a lot. After struggling alone like that for almost a year, I eventually decided on revision surgery. This time, with the mindset that I would absolutely not regret it, I really did a lot of online research and went around to clinics without holding back. I think I went to more than 7 consultations alone. What I commonly heard every time I visited a clinic was, “If you redo the epicanthoplasty, your eyes will look much more open and refreshed.” So I naturally started looking for clinics centered on canthoplasty, and while consulting, I also became very eager to get lateral canthoplasty. The outer corners of my eyes originally didn’t have much space, but I think I actively expressed my wishes, saying, “Please do as much as possible!”
