<Before surgery><Before surgery><After surgery><After surgery>I had always been concerned about my low nasal tip and a nose that looked slightly spread out. So I looked for a hospital that was good at implant-free nasal tip surgery, and I booked a consultation because I heard Director Song In-su at 345 performs surgery in a natural-yet-defined and safe way! I told him my concerns were my low nasal tip, spread-out nose, and thick nasal bridge. The director said very simply and clearly that I already had a nasal bridge, so it seemed like only the nasal tip needed to be raised, and that the spread-out look would likely improve as the nasal tip was raised. Personally, I thought my nasal bridge was on the thick side, so I expected that osteotomy would be needed, but he stopped me and said it was within the average range. So the diagnosis was implant-free nasal tip surgery using donated costal cartilage, without osteotomy. (He said my septal cartilage was weak, so he probably couldn’t use it) Throughout the consultation, the director gave very precise, clear-cut guidance, saying things like “you don’t need this” and “this much is enough,” so I think I decided on surgery without too much hesitation haha On the day of surgery, not only the consultant but also the coordinators took kind care of me, and the director also told me it would go well, so although I was nervous, I got onto the operating table without worrying. Even while preparing for surgery, the nurses were so kind. Maybe because my pulse was fast, or because I was nervous, they even changed the song selection to help me calm down.. hahahahahaha When I opened my eyes, I was in the recovery room, and the nurse came by several times to check my condition. I felt okay just 30 minutes after it ended, so I was discharged almost right away. Sitting up was more uncomfortable for me.. Because cotton was packed in my nose, eating and breathing were uncomfortable, and from constantly changing the gauze and wiping blood, my skin got a little rubbed raw. From day 2, after the cotton was removed, I managed it by applying ophthalmic ointment to the suture areas morning and evening. From day 4, I made sure to do warm compresses at least once a day, and on day 7, the splint and stitches were removed. Now it’s week 2, and all the stitches have been removed! I didn’t bruise much, and because there wasn’t much swelling either, by week 2 it felt like a lot of the swelling had gone down! From the moment the splint came off in week 1, people around me said my nose line turned out so well and that it was a good thing I didn’t get osteotomy. (I think it really was good that I didn’t get osteotomy..!) I guess you really do have to follow what the director says hahahaha It’s week 2, and I really like the line. He said there is still some residual swelling left, so I’m going to wait a little longer. Every time the director checks my progress, he says it turned out so well, so that makes me feel even better hehe I still have some throbbing and tingling sensations, but I’m living with it thinking it’s part of the recovery process. I want 1 month and 3 months to pass quickly so it can look a bit more natural!
