I went to in-person consultations thinking lightly of it, but when they recommended surgeries I hadn't even known about, I was so flustered and even started wondering, “Is surgery really the right thing to do?” Still, people say that if you keep going to several consultations, you'll find a clinic that suits you. I didn't give up either, and only looked for places that were professionally good at surgery, kept~~ going around, and at this clinic they said I could match both eyelid lines with natural adhesion and improve my eye-opening strength by doing ptosis correction together, so I ended up getting surgery there. I didn't decide just by looking at that one thing. 1. During the consultation, they shaped the double-eyelid line really precisely (This was the first place that told me first even about 1 mm differences..) 2. They didn't just say “it will definitely work” or “it won't work,” but explained various surgical plans and told me the best method 3. The director explained everything confidently, and I also wanted canthoplasty, so they explained the surgical method professionally and clearly These 3 reasons were the biggest factors. Still, people around me said non-incisional surgery seemed a bit uncertain.... But after the confidence I got during the consultation + looking up many reviews, I saw that many people had succeeded, so I decided not to be swayed by others' words and went through with the surgery with my own conviction. After surgery, even though it was natural adhesion, maybe because I had canthoplasty and ptosis correction together, the swelling came up more than I expected.. Personally, it swelled much more the day after than on the day of surgery. It didn't hurt, but my eyes felt very puffy? Still, whenever I had time, I took walks and applied compresses, so within 2-3 weeks it felt like the major swelling had gone down. Getting the surgery done well is important, but I think it also differs depending on how you manage aftercare. Just in case anyone is curious, I'll say this in advance. I wanted a semi-out line, so the double eyelid was set to match my existing left line, and the canthoplasty was planned and opened by 2 mm. The director said this would not be excessive for my eyes. Honestly, I like everything about my eyes now, but what I like most is that the line settled cleanly without overlapping.. I no longer get stressed because of my double eyelids when I'm bare-faced or doing makeup Rather than a place that forces only one surgical method just because your eyes are “extremely difficult,” I think it's better to get it done somewhere that carefully checks your situation, eye shape, and skin condition, and explains in detail which surgical method is right for you.
