It’s been about 50 days since surgery, and although I originally had double eyelids, they often came undone + were asymmetrical + made me look sleepy, which was really stressful. While I was debating whether to get double-eyelid surgery, my mom had eye surgery at the same hospital and said she was very satisfied, so I also had it done by Director Yoo Ki-hyun at Gift Plastic Surgery! During the consultation, I met with both the consultant and the director, and they examined me very carefully. I debated a lot between incisional and non-incisional, and the director explained incisional and non-incisional methods and, if I did each one, explained in detail how the result would turn out, so I trusted them a lot. They told me that with the non-incisional method, it would be difficult to meet all the conditions I wanted, so I decided on incisional double-eyelid surgery + ptosis correction and decided to have surgery right away. I had quite a lot of specific and picky requirements, but the consultant and director listened to each one, and I was also very worried about surgery, but they reassured me, so I think I received it with peace of mind! The surgery was done under sleep anesthesia, and when I closed and opened my eyes, it was already over. It really didn’t hurt at all, and I think they did it well. After surgery, in the recovery room, they helped me with cold compresses, explained the precautions, and gave me an eye patch and gauze! The swelling went down really quickly from the first week to the second week, and after that, the minor residual swelling seems to be slowly going down haha. I was worried because the bruising after surgery was severe, but I also bought bruise cream, and the consultant told me how to manage it, so I think the bruises went away quickly. When I reached 1 month, I also got a scar injection, and although it really hurt, the effect seems good. They told me there is still a little minor swelling left and that it will go down more, and I already like it enough now, so I’m very satisfied!!! Now it’s so comfortable without double-eyelid tape or double-eyelid glue, so I love it.
