Square jaw & nose surgery, day 4.. (photos included ㅠ_ㅠ)

Yes, yes.. I’m suffering.. I read a lot of reviews.. They say days 2-3 are more painful than the first day.. I’m feeling it.. I thought I’d be able to endure it.. But really, the moment I woke up from anesthesia.. Along with the thought, “I’m alive”.. That day passed like 100 years......... Here’s my review~ I had surgery on September 28, 2009.. My jaw wasn’t severely square, so even if I did it together with nose surgery.. I thought it was just standard square jaw surgery, so even if there was swelling, how bad could it be.. I must have had such an absolutely ridiculous thought.. Sigh.. I think the surgery time was around 10:10 in the morning.. The nurse put in an IV.. then the anesthesiologist came right away. They came in without saying much.. and with “We’re starting anesthesia..” You know that tingling feeling..... and then.. I opened my eyes and I was gasping for breath... Ah, the pain when waking up from general anesthesia..... I don’t think I’ll ever forget it.. At that moment, I really thought this is not something a person should do.. Why did I do this.. Ah, what is wrapped around my face right now.. All kinds of thoughts came to mind.. The nurse beside me kept telling me not to sleep.. Open your eyes.. breathe.. and made me do it.. And for the first time, that beeping thing on my finger -0-;; Hearing that sound made it even scarier.. Anyway, breathing was so hard.. Since I did my nose too, I don’t know what they shoved inside my nose.. I was barely breathing through my mouth.. (of course I had an oxygen mask on) And I wasn’t hospitalized that day. They said I recovered much faster than other people. Actually, rather than being fast.. I’m okay, I’m okay, I can get up.. I think I kept thinking that right after surgery... Anyway, I came home.. The first day.. I had to take medicine.. but my mouth wouldn’t open... I looked in the mirror and my face was enormous.. I wanted to eat porridge.. but I had no strength in my whole body.. I wanted to sleep.. but breathing was hard.. I felt like I was going to die... I came home and lay down to sleep around 11.. But until 9 in the morning, I kept my eyes closed and stayed up all night.. The first day was truly a day when I thought I was going to die~~ The morning of the second day.. I rushed to the hospital.. I tormented the doctor, saying please remove what’s inside my nose right now, it’s too painful, and that I couldn’t sleep.. But they said the bleeding in my nose hadn’t stopped.. so they couldn’t remove it. Fortunately, they removed only one side... Anyway, on the second day, while still gasping somehow.. I think I slept about 4 hours.. The morning of the third day.. Wow, my face was unbelievable.. Especially my lips and jaw......... I looked worse than Bogus. My lips were all turned inside out.. and all chapped.. My parents saw me and got teary.. Asking if the surgery had gone wrong.....(ㅜ_ㅜ) That day was hard too, I think.. Do you know the feeling that your face is going to burst? It kept swelling more and more.. endlessly swelling, and my face felt like it was going to burst.. If I tilted my face even a little, it felt like blood was rushing whooooosh~~~~~~ to one side....... I have no sensation in my lower right lip either.. (and 3 lower teeth too..) Even if I tap it with a toothpick.. it only feels like touching your leg when it’s asleep.. (a little scary.) It’ll probably get better with time.. But I’m worrying again, what if they touched a nerve.... Now..!! Today is day 4!! When I woke up in the morning and looked at my face.. My lips had shrunk a lot.. and since I did my nose too.. The swelling that had gone up near my eyes went down too.... I was so happy, but....... The swelling inside my mouth seems to be getting worse..... Everyone swells a little in the morning when they wake up.. But since I’m swollen after surgery too.. The flesh inside my mouth feels exactly like.. someone stuffed in a bunch of intestines soaked in water for a long time.. That’s how it feels.. and it hurts.. I was worried it might get infected, so I gargled as soon as I woke up.. And when I went to the hospital.. The nurses were surprised.. wow, the swelling went down.... But I was depressed about the swelling inside my mouth.. Why!!!!!!! Because it hurt ㅠ_ㅠ I came home.. Ate thin rice gruel.. pumpkin juice.. soy milk.. water.. That’s still all I can eat. Other people mix castella with milk and eat it.. Or eat ramyeon and stuff.. When will I be able to do that too.... I told my mom to buy castella on her way here, so I’ll try it... But my mouth is so swollen, I don’t even know if it’ll go in.... Ah, this is painful.. I’m not trying to scare anyone.. But I really think this is the worst among cosmetic surgeries.. It costs a lot of money ㅠ_ㅠ and there’s so much suffering ㅠ_ㅠ The swelling lasts a long time too ㅠ_ㅠ ㅠ_ㅠ ㅠ_ㅠ Anyway, in 3 months.. I’ll look in the mirror and see a V-line and a high nasal bridge.. Imagining myself taking selfies.. imagining myself being able to yawn wide open.. I’ll stop here.... Thank you for reading this long post ㅠ_ㅠ It’s all over the place, but I just wanted to vent a little. Oh right..!! I won’t forget, and I’ll upload progress photos!!!!
