I had surgery a month ago at a plastic surgery clinic in Apgujeong, and I had posted this photo here in this community before.. Many people asked me to share the information, and at first I was happy, so I replied to each person one by one.. But now that a month has passed.. because of my nose gradually changing, I honestly couldn’t bring myself to tell the people asking for the information.. I’m posting because I don’t think I should just keep being upset about it alone and let it pass. When I first consulted with the doctor, we decided to operate only on the nasal tip using septal cartilage, and I went onto the operating table. After the surgery ended, the doctor said that because my nasal bridge was high, he had just tied the nasal tip with thread.. I was a bit dumbfounded.. Since it was local anesthesia, he could have sufficiently told me during surgery that he was changing the surgical method, but he finished the surgery without saying a word to consult me.. Even with local anesthesia, I was in a dazed state, so I just said okay and trusted that he must have done it properly, then waited.. After surgery, as the swelling gradually went down, it was good until about 15 days. Because it was tied only with thread, not septal cartilage or autologous cartilage, now that a month has passed, the nasal tip has no strength and has collapsed, and because the nasal tip was tied, only the tip looks bluntly swollen, almost like it was stung by a bee. In the photos, I had only posted pictures up to 10 days after surgery, so you probably couldn’t tell, but once the swelling went down overall, the nasal tip became clearly noticeable.. And this was done on the premise that they would discount several hundred thousand won on the condition that my photos (before and after surgery) be posted on the hospital website. In the end, they changed the surgical method during surgery without the patient’s consent and profited from it.. I’m really annoyed and so angry I feel like I’m going crazy. The hospital only keeps saying to wait and watch for now, and seeing the doctor just leave the consultation room abruptly made me even angrier. The surgical method was one of the reasons I chose this hospital, but this is a hospital that arbitrarily changes the surgical method without the patient’s consent. (It’s a hospital in Apgujeong, and if you’re curious, I’ll tell you the hospital name in case it helps.) Because this was revision surgery, I chose this hospital after really thinking it over carefully, .. I truly can’t express all my disappointment in words.. Because I know very well what kind of feelings everyone here has when they make the difficult decision and choice to have surgery, I’m posting in the hope that there will be no victims? like me. And I would also appreciate advice on how I should respond..
