It has been 3 years since my nose surgery, and now I’m looking into revision surgery. One nostril has narrowed, making it hard to breathe, and on CT my nose is completely bent to the right. (The photo above is not the severe part; the severe part is where one side is almost invisible.) Every time I go for a revision consultation, the directors are shocked. I even developed severe scar tissue, and the surgery took about 6 hours... I’m writing this with a heavy and complicated heart because the revision surgery cost is so enormous.
Just thinking about having surgery again feels overwhelming, and I hope nothing like this ever happens again.
