10 years ago, I couldn’t get LASEK, so I had implantable lenses inserted. My corneal endothelial cell count had decreased a lot, so after removing the lenses last winter, they redid the procedure with LASEK.
They didn’t charge a separate LASEK fee and only charged the lens implant removal fee.
At first, I was worried because my vision didn’t recover as quickly as with the implantation surgery, but after taking good care of dry eye management, I think I recovered quickly. These days, LASEK seems to be the trend!
