I had been thinking about surgery for a long time because my nose was low and blunt-looking, and I finally went through with it. I did a lot of online research and went to three in-person consultations, then ultimately decided on one clinic. The consultation was very thorough, and more than anything, the review photos were closest to the look I was aiming for, so I made my decision. [Hospital facilities] It was newly built, so it was very comfortable, there was no waiting time, and I think the facilities were simply top-notch. The private recovery room was also very clean. Especially when I went for the consultation, I could tell they had put a lot of thought into the patient experience. Usually, patients move back and forth between the consultant’s office and the doctor’s office..(?) but at this clinic, the consultant and doctor moved around within one space, so I felt they had paid a lot of careful attention to detail. [Original condition] Thick skin Large pores Low nose Bulbous nose Hump It was honestly a difficult nose in many ways, so I was very worried, but I’m really satisfied with the result. My friends all say my overall image is the same, but somehow I look prettier and natural.. They keep asking where I got it done, so unintentionally I’ve become a promoter for the clinic [Recovery process] Days 1-2 This is the most uncomfortable period because cotton is placed inside the nose. If you can just get through this time, I think the rest is relatively manageable. When the nasal cotton is removed, it only hurts to the point of feeling a bit dizzy. Days 3-7 Oiliness starts coming up little by little, and it gets a bit itchy. Because my nose was very oily, the splint lifted a bit and the tape loosened, so they replaced it. Days 7-8 I had the splint removed and received care. They said the splint had lifted because of the oiliness, so the swelling was worse. [Good points] To be honest, I had heard so many times that correcting a bulbous nose is difficult, so I wasn’t expecting a dramatic change, but I’m happy that my nose became naturally slimmer beyond my expectations. I can clearly tell what has changed, but people around me say I don’t look drastically different, so I’m even more satisfied (meaning it looks that natural) [Disappointing points] I think there is some scarring from the alar reduction. And the shape of my right nostril wing looks a bit odd. I plan to ask at my next checkup whether this is something that improves with time or not.
This is a surgery review pursuing a natural-looking result.
