I had revision surgery this time, and before my memory gets blurry, I’m posting a vivid review of the surgery process. This post is super long and detailed lol First, I originally had thin double eyelids, but I wanted them bigger, so I got a partial incision + epicanthoplasty, and ended up with uneven eyes Reason they became uneven: inflammation developed at the starting point of the double eyelid on my right eye -> the thread was removed -> uneven-eye ending.. Criteria for choosing a revision surgery clinic: a place that would pay attention to the front of my right eye so my eyes wouldn’t become uneven / definitely a semi-out line so the starting point wouldn’t be covered by the inner corner of the eye / buried suture method / local anesthesia / a place that listened well to my needs I visited 4 places for consultations, and there was exactly 1 place that met all of these, so after thinking about it, I booked the surgery (while going around consultations, I found out that the shape of the front of my eyes makes it hard to create a semi-out line. Everyone only talked about an in-out line). The last place I consulted at was the clinic where I had surgery this time, and the director’s aesthetic sense was seriously insane. It was exactly the line I wanted. The reason I hesitated was because I had already put down a deposit somewhere else lol I lost 100,000 won.. Anyway, I’ll get straight into the surgery process review now I arrived at the clinic 30 minutes before the surgery time, heard the instructions, changed clothes, washed my face, and then had one final double-eyelid design consultation with the director before surgery This process is very important because the surgery is done based on the line decided here, so the line absolutely has to be to my liking. At this point, I again asked for no uneven eyes and for a semi-out line so the inner corner wouldn’t cover the line lolololol The director must have been sick of it... sorry.. During this process, I really liked that the director reflected my needs well in a way that suited my face And then I finally lay down on the operating table, and from that moment all kinds of thoughts came to mind.. lol It started with “Why did I say I’d get surgery? I should’ve just lived as I was,” and went all the way to “I just wish they’d anesthetize me quickly”.. Anyway, this place did it in the order of sedation anesthesia -> local anesthesia, then waking me up and starting the surgery The medical staff came in, disinfected my eyes, and said they were going to do sedation anesthesia. A little while later, I moved my legs, and the director said they were starting the surgery now lol I was just lying there listening to music, but at some point I had already gone through sedation and even local anesthesia And then began the war with the threads... Everyone here who has had eye surgery under local anesthesia will relate The feeling of the thread passing through is really unpleasant and scary, you know And when the thread gets pulled, my face lifts upward without me realizing it;ㅂ; Even though you’re not supposed to move your face.. But still, what’s good about this method is that during the surgery, they keep having you open your eyes and match both lines, so you can endure it They also kept checking my eye shape when I sat up with my upper body raised, so I really got the feeling that they were shaping the line very meticulously They did the left side first, then started the problematic right eye, and the director said they understood why the front starting point had loosened They really put a lot of effort into that area I was so touched that they remembered the point I considered important and reflected it And for the right side, they had me open my eyes more often than the left side to check whether the symmetry matched. I thought it was almost over, but at the end they had me sit up again and open my eyes But of all things, I opened them using my forehead lolololol The director suddenly caught it right away, saying I was opening with my forehead, then had me lie back down and did something additional Since I could hear all the sounds, it was hard because I could tell how the surgery was progressing, but I think eyes are still better done under local anesthesia Finally, the surgery was all over and I went to the recovery room, but my eyes wouldn’t close well and I could feel the foreign-body sensation from the threads all over my cornea, so I kept asking the nurse who helped support me whether this was okay. They said it was because the inside was swollen and that it was normal, but on the first day I was really anxious Also, in the recovery room, when I was covered with a blanket and doing a cold compress, they also put a bell in my hand so I could call the medical staff, which made me feel reassured. After that, I changed clothes again, received a compress kit, went to the pharmacy to pick up my medication, and then on the bus home I kept going with my eyes wide open It’s only day 3, so once the swelling improves a bit later, I’ll bring another review! The surgery process was good, but please, I hope the result is good too so I won’t have to do a third surgery
