Eye Surgery Reviews@eye-review

I got epicanthoplasty^^ Please take a look~ (There are photos!!)

Hello~ I finally got epicanthoplasty!!! I had double eyelid surgery by the incisional method 6 years ago~ You can see it in the photos, but my eyes were slightly uneven ㅠㅠ But I don’t have any major complaints about my current double eyelids~ I’ve been living fairly satisfied with them~ But what kept bothering me every time was that I didn’t get epicanthoplasty back then because I was a little scared. Maybe because of that, my eyes looked a bit stuffy!! And the distance between my eyes was also a bit wide ㅠ This time, I made up my mind and decided on surgery because I wanted clearer, more open-looking eyes~ During the consultation, both the manager and the director were kind and friendly and gave me a good consultation~ So I decided on surgery right away!! On the day of surgery~ My surgery was at 4, but I was a little late, so I hurried to the clinic~ I felt a bit sorry for not keeping the appointment time, but as expected, the manager welcomed me warmly! First, I changed into a gown and removed my makeup! Thinking that I could finally say goodbye to these stuffy-looking eyes made me feel so relieved! hahaha After waiting a little, I lay down on the operating table... It wasn’t my first time, but my heart was pounding! I fell asleep when they said they were starting anesthesia, but even though it wasn’t my first time, the feeling of anesthesia was so unfamiliar ㅠ I had fallen asleep and then opened my eyes groggily as if waking up in the morning, and the surgery was in progress. It was a little scary, but they talked to me beside me, and it ended faster than I expected, so I moved to the recovery room! When I looked in the mirror, I couldn’t really see the surgical area because of the gauze and tape! Like the second photo above.. I rested at the clinic for a while, pulled my hat down, and went straight home. The next day and the day after surgery, I went to the clinic and had all the gauze on my eyes removed, and the swelling wasn’t as bad as I expected! When I had double eyelid surgery before, the swelling was pretty bad, but maybe epicanthoplasty is a different area, or maybe the director did the surgery well, there wasn’t much swelling, so I felt good! But maybe because of the anesthesia needle, I had bruises here and there, so the doctor prescribed medicine to help the bruising go away quickly! On day 3 after surgery, there weren’t any major changes, and I just felt uncomfortable and stuffy because I couldn’t wash my face properly~ Oh right! Maybe the wounds had started healing, because they were itchy~ I had a hard time stopping my hands from constantly going to my face because I wanted to scratch them;; haha From day 4, the shape of my eyes started to show little by little!! They already feel clearer? haha If only the bruises disappear quickly, I don’t think there will be any big issue going outside!! Even now, I’m getting around fine with a hat and glasses, but I hope I can quickly get the stitches removed and go around wearing makeup~^^ I wrote a lot of rambling, but.. I hope this helps even a little for people considering epicanthoplasty~ I’ll post again later after getting the stitches removed!! ^^
