I had nose consultations at two places in Seoul, and both said I’d need to use costal cartilage and silicone (because my nose is small, there isn’t enough that can be taken from the septum). In Busan, I’d never heard costal cartilage mentioned even once. Of course, there were places that said my septum was small so we should use ear cartilage and silicone, but usually it was septal cartilage, ear cartilage, and silicone. After going to Seoul, I’m even more confused now. Sigh, I wonder if it’s because costal cartilage is a trendy material these days... Has anyone used costal cartilage for their first surgery? Of course I don’t want to have revision surgery, so my mindset is that if I need to use costal cartilage, I’ll use it. If it’s donated costal cartilage, they can open it up and, if there’s enough septal cartilage, not use it. But with autologous costal cartilage, they have to do the exam and harvest it beforehand, so even if there turns out to be enough septal cartilage, they still have to proceed with autologous costal cartilage. In this kind of situation, which side would be better to listen to? Help me..
버레스크 I live in Busan too, so I got consultations in both Busan and Seoul. In Busan, there are so few places that use autologous costal cartilage, only about 3 places. That means the technique itself is much more behind compared to Seoul. I had my nose messed up in Busan and went to Seoul for revision surgery, and if possible, I think it’s better to do it in Seoul.

얌아가 But I also think if they can’t handle costal cartilage well, they don’t bring it up first I didn’t really know back when I had my first surgery either because of that...;; When I went to Finish for revision consultations, they actually explained both autologous costal cartilage and donated costal cartilage first and told me what would be right for me, so I think it’s best to get consultations at places that use a variety of materials well.
