This is a revision surgery for me, and I currently have silicone in my nose. Some clinics say they remove the silicone in the first surgery, then insert dermis in a second surgery, doing it in two stages. Is it less safe if they remove the silicone and insert dermis right away? At the clinic I consulted with, they said they don’t split it into a first and second stage, and that after removing the silicone from the nasal bridge, it would be good to use donated dermis, and for the nasal tip, ear cartilage + donated dermis. I know both autologous dermis and donated dermis have high absorption rates, but as long as the unevenness isn’t too severe, I think I’d be okay with it? I tend to prefer a more natural feel than silicone... Cons: high absorption rate, spreads sideways and can make the nose look bulky, can become uneven Pros: natural-looking nose, relatively safe because there is no implant Among everyone here who had surgery with donated dermis or autologous dermis, if you experienced the cons above, or unexpectedly didn’t have any downsides, please let me know in the comments. Please! Even after surgery, I’d like my nose to not be too hard, even if it isn’t exactly soft...
아기다 With donated dermis, you can’t know the donor’s age, so wouldn’t your own tissue be better..?
코끝했음 I used donated dermis and got complications
민공 [@아기다] Ah because I don’t know who donated it.. They recommended donated dermis, but if I ask about doing it with autologous dermis, I’m worried maybe the director recommended donated dermis because they’re not confident with autologous dermis.. That’s really what worries me the most. Thanks for the comment
민공 [@코끝했음] Wow, could I ask what kind of complication it was?..
뭉인물 But doesn’t all dermis get absorbed.. Still, if I had to choose, it would be autologous dermis, right?
이유비예쁘다아아 Fighting. I’m curious about autologous dermis too
민공 [@뭉인물] After listening to everyone here, I booked autologous dermis..
민공 [@이유비예쁘다아아] I booked at a place famous for autologous dermis
