<My nose still had a hump even though I had already had surgery><After getting revision rhinoplasty at S.G.>I had been really stressed about my hump nose since I was young, and because I’m the type to worry about things in advance + once I start looking into something, I have a hard time making decisions, it took me a really long time even when I got my first surgery. Back then, I thought getting surgery done naturally would be the best option, so that’s why I went through with it, but looking at the result, it really didn’t look even 1 bit like I had surgery, and the hump was still there; I basically became someone who threw money away for nothing. Every time people around me said they couldn’t tell I had surgery, my self-esteem really took a huge hit.. Not just me, but everyone wants to be done with cosmetic surgery after the first procedure. I was the same, but when the result turned out like this, I was so upset. The hospital’s surgical skill, aesthetic sense, and aftercare were all not great, but the worst part was that I was the one who had chosen it after thinking so carefully... My nose had already been operated on once, and I felt like if I kept living with this nose, my mental distress would get worse, so I ended up getting revision surgery. For my first surgery, I focused only on reviews and natural-looking results when searching, but for revision surgery, reviews were a given, and I think I focused more on experience, whether many people went there for revision rhinoplasty, and when they recommended surgery, whether there was any pressure or not. Honestly, the director at S.G. wasn’t the extremely warm and friendly type. That doesn’t mean he was rude or anything, but if it had been during my first surgery, I probably would have thought, why is this person so blunt? Instead, I was impressed that he spoke professionally only about the surgical aspects, in a straightforward, unembellished way. It wasn’t like, “I’ll definitely make your nose a success,” but he talked about the possibilities and the path toward the best method for my current nose... Because he explained that realistically, it was easy for me, as the person getting surgery, to understand too. Anyway, the hump that couldn’t be resolved during my first surgery was eventually treated with osteotomy during the revision lol And when looking from the front, my nostril wings were too wide, so I also had alar reduction done.. It was something I had hesitated about during my first surgery, but after listening to the director for my revision and actually getting the surgery, I understood more and more why it had been necessary as the swelling went down. Now my friends honestly tell me that my nose shape suits me well and looks pretty, and although I can’t say my emotional distress is 100% healed, I do think it’s much better than before. I should consider even this a relief. I’m still going to keep taking care of it and watching it consistently, but everyone, please don’t end up going as far as revision surgery like me I really hope you succeed with your first surgery!!
