It has been about 7 days since my stitches were removed, and when I touch the scar area, there is something hard that feels like it might fall off later? (the hard area has a reddish feeling). I am not sure if this is a scab, but should I apply Tarivid eye ointment to this? They say scar ointment, not eye ointment, should be applied from day 20 after the scab falls off, but when I look at the post-plastic-surgery instructions, it says to apply eye ointment until the scab falls off, and I don't know whether this is a scab.. I have not applied it until now, should I apply it? What should I do to reduce the chance of a scar later?
