A clinic somewhere in Gangnam that often appears in app promotions. On 7/29, I received 300 shots of Tenssema, and I got a burn on the right cheekbone area of my face. (I’ve had more than 10 radiofrequency treatments such as Thermage, Oligio, and Tenssema, but this was the first time anything like this happened.) For reference, I did not receive any separate prior notice from this clinic about possible side effects that could occur after the procedure, and I never signed a consent form before the procedure either. I immediately sent photos to the clinic’s KakaoTalk channel and asked about it, and they only told me to come in. But I couldn’t go to the clinic right away at that time, so I told the clinic that it would be difficult for me to visit immediately. The next day, I was told by a board-certified dermatologist that it looked like a second-degree or worse burn, and I received dressing treatment. I was so upset in this situation that I left an honest review on a review app (without insults or exaggeration, I posted only exactly this content): [I got a burn scar after the procedure. My face didn’t have a single pimple, so I’m so upset..] It was immediately blinded as “registration of exaggerated information.” That day, I sent the clinic a KakaoTalk message to make a follow-up appointment, but they read it and deliberately didn’t reply for more than a day (the director personally handles all responses). Meanwhile, they had also requested that the review be blinded again. After putting up with it and putting up with it, I spoke strongly to the clinic, and only then did they say, “I was busy so I couldn’t reply” (until then, they had replied faster than anywhere else), and said they couldn’t compensate me and told me to sue lol The director told me that they had dealt with this kind of thing a few times too, and that it would be hard to win anyway. There was no apology or sense of responsibility, and until the end they kept changing every word to their advantage to avoid taking responsibility. If you search a little, you’ll see, but this clinic’s director even comments directly on review posts, acts extremely sensitive, and even leaves sarcastic comments themselves. (Seeing their attitude of making excuses even when a problem occurred, I can’t trust anything the director says at all.) I was burned more severely by the clinic’s attitude than by the side effect of the procedure. If anyone is considering it, please keep this in mind. I hope you don’t end up with a burn like me and have your mood ruined too. For reference, today, 8/7, I used annual leave and went to a burn-specialized hospital, and I was diagnosed with a deep second-degree burn with a high possibility of scarring. I’m planning to go back to the hospital in 3 weeks for another consultation, get an estimate of future treatment costs and a medical certificate, and file a lawsuit, so I’ll write an additional post.
