Are double eyelid surgery stitches normally inside the skin?

I had double eyelid surgery in August. Normally when you have double eyelid surgery, there are stitches on the outside. And then a few days later, you go back to the hospital to have the stitches removed, right? But after my external stitches were removed, the manager said this to me. She said there are also threads inside the eyelid, and over time those threads may protrude outside the skin, and that they would naturally come off while washing my face. So inside I was like, what the heck?? I thought, are there threads inside the skin to help the double eyelid line settle? But the thought that I would have to live my whole life with these stitches buried inside my skin felt really unsettling, so I asked the manager if this was harmful to the body. She said it had absolutely no effect on the body and that it would be fine even if they stayed inside the skin for life, so I said okay and came home. About a month later, something really was sticking out from one spot on the line of my left eyelid. So I tried to gently grab it and pull it out, but it wouldn’t come out, so I just left it alone. Then about 3 months later, that thread came out. The thread wasn’t long, about 0.3 mm. But among people who’ve had double eyelid surgery, I haven’t seen anyone say they also have stitches inside the eyelid skin.. Is there anyone like me? And is double eyelid surgery normally like this?..
