Before surgery, I heard so many people say my eye shape was fine and ask why I would get surgery. They were large eyes for monolids, but when I wore makeup, the eyeliner all disappeared into the mucous membrane side, and I wanted to change the somewhat stuffy-looking impression, so I decided on surgery. I went to several hospitals with a friend, and each director really had a different eye shape they pursued? it seemed. The reason I decided on surgery at Aiho was, first, that it is an eye-specialized hospital that only operates on eyes, and unlike factory-style hospitals, it is a private clinic with only one chief director, which I liked. During consultations at other hospitals, sometimes the consultant did the design and estimate and I didn’t even get to see the director, but at Aiho I could consult directly with the director and ask everything I was curious about. I also liked how they looked at my eye structure and image while setting each part of the line. Even though it was an eye consultation, they looked at my overall face and set an eye shape and line thickness that suited me. The director said I had a good impression (haha), and when I relaxed my eyes, they would set the line so I wouldn’t look sleepy and would look refreshed. They made a thin line and showed me in the mirror, and I liked that shape the most too! I also liked that when I said I wanted it natural, the director said if I did epicanthoplasty too, my impression would change too much, and recommended just slightly creating double eyelids with non-incisional buried sutures. There were many incision reviews, so I went in thinking about incision, but it became a “maybe that’s even better?” situation. After surgery, the swelling was almost all gone in under a month! Even when I close my eyes, it doesn’t look obvious that I had surgery, and people around me all compliment me, saying I did well making it natural, so I’m so happy haha
