The recovery period for fat repositioning (under-eye fat repositioning) can generally be divided as follows. 1. Early recovery (1-2 weeks) Swelling and bruising are usually worst for about 1-3 days after surgery. After the first week, the bruising fades to a yellowish color, and by the second week, most people can return to daily life. Many clinics say makeup is possible starting 1-2 weeks later. 2. Mid-stage recovery (3-4 weeks) About 70-80% of the swelling goes down. The unnatural feeling in facial expressions or eye movement gradually disappears. 3. Full recovery (2-3 months) Fine swelling and a pulling sensation disappear, and the final line and shape stabilize. Scars (if it is a conjunctival incision, there is almost no external scar) become unnoticeable.
