How do you deal with constipation caused by sedation?

I usually always have a bowel movement once a day. After having surgery on Tuesday, I haven’t been able to go to the bathroom even once until now.. So I asked my older sister. She said that when she had appendicitis surgery, the sedation affected her intestines too, so she struggled because she only had a bowel movement about 2 weeks later. She said probiotic drinks probably won’t be very effective in that situation. She told me to walk sometimes at night.. Honestly, I don’t want to go outside at night wearing a mask.. And I’m scared because I hate the feeling of my nose moving.. There’s just one thing I’m worried about. I don’t mind struggling when I eventually go to the bathroom later. But after cosmetic surgery, they told me not to do strenuous exercise for about 2 weeks. So I’m afraid that when I have a bowel movement after 2 weeks, straining might put stress on the blood vessels and affect my nose. That’s what scares me. For those with experience, please tell me how you handled it..
