Hello, I’m leaving a review of my consultation for revision rhinoplasty with Director Kim Jae-hoon at April 31 Plastic Surgery. First, there were many things that needed improvement, such as the columella and nostrils, so he said the surgery would need to be carried out in two stages, a first and second surgery. He said there was a high possibility that columellar scar tissue and autologous costal cartilage would also need to be removed. He said the first surgery would be done by reducing and narrowing the space inside the columella as much as possible, using a healing approach, and after surgery, I would wear a Silastic sheet support inside the nostrils for a long period while monitoring the progress. If the first surgery is successful, he said the plan for the second surgery would be to use ear cartilage to create the shape. But I felt it would be a waste to remove the autologous costal cartilage, and it felt burdensome, so I did not proceed with the surgery.
