I once suffered severe stress and even depression because of my face shape. I'm in a much better place now, but for almost 7 to 8 years I had decided I definitely needed contour surgery, but the price was too high and I was worried it might go wrong.. I was also concerned about sagging cheeks and aftereffects, so I agonized a lot. I'm 27 now and unemployed, haha. Since I was going to do it anyway someday, I thought it would be better to do it while I was still a little younger and my skin was still a little better, so I decided to push myself and have the surgery. I had time to spare anyway..ㅎㅎ I had already visited hospitals back when I was depressed, through internet research and consultations. The hospital I visited back then said it probably wouldn't have much effect... It was a contour-specialized hospital.. ㅡㅡ In my mind, it was really a place that I felt I had to go to, but hearing that there made me put cheekbone surgery on hold for a while. Then this time I decided on surgery, and while looking around many cosmetic surgery websites, I collected a lot of photos, and I felt like I should have surgery at this place. Maybe I decided a little too hastily, but ㅎㅎ it really drew me in. There might be a bit of photoshopping, but the before-and-after photos of the surgery reviews seemed satisfying, and since they specialize in cheekbones, the before-and-after differences in the photos were really clear. After the consultation, I paid the deposit right away, and even though I worried whether I had decided too quickly, the main surgeon and the manager at the cheekbone clinic kept telling me not to worry and that I would definitely see results. My face shape, you know, was originally flat, and even with contour surgery it would still be round, so it was like a full-moon face that might not benefit?? Actually, I had jaw surgery first when I was about 21? It wasn't at the place where I had the cheekbone surgery. There they also said the jaw would have an effect but the cheekbones wouldn't, and that only about 0.5 mm? would be reduced on one side, so I only had the jaw done. Then as I got older, baby fat came off too, and now I have a skull-like, big face. It's a bit like an inverted triangle too, really not attractive. They shaved my jaw too much ㅡㅡ I really never want to go back to that hospital. Nothing turned out properly there, not my jaw, eyes, or hair transplant. I had eye surgery twice, but it came undone and made me go to another hospital;; My post got way too long ㅎㅎ Anyway, I took the bandages off today. The nurse removed the bandage for me and I didn't have a mirror, so I just touched my face with my hands, and it felt really strange. My cheekbones are gone... wow, will the effect be even bigger than with the jaw? That thought came to me too ㅎㅎ Maybe because of the swelling my cheekbones seem even more gone, but the 45-degree cheekbones are gone too, and I want to see my face after all the swelling goes down quickly. My head shape is naturally big, so I probably won't be able to do a slicked-back style, but I think I can at least do a loose natural updo. If you all are going to have cheekbone surgery too, please research very carefully so you don't need revision surgery, and I hope it goes well without aftereffects. I hope I don't have any aftereffects either. I want to upload photos now, but I don't have a USB ㅎㅎ Once the swelling goes down, I'll definitely upload before-and-after photos. Oh, and for those planning jaw surgery, please think twice about shaving it down too much like a very small jaw. Afterwards it really looks unnatural and not pretty. You look like you have no cheek fat and look older. Once the swelling is all gone and I recover, I'll upload a lot of photos^^ Oh, and if anyone is worried about revision eye surgery, let's look into hospitals together later.
