I added a celebrity photo for reference because this is the kind of bumpy feeling I mean> It has been over 5 months since my revision rhinoplasty, so I'll write about what I've felt so far~ This will probably be my last review haha After my first surgery, I developed silicone-related contracture, so I had no intention of using silicone again. There were places that suggested silicone again, but.. I passedㅠ This time, I wanted it to be truly the last one and do it safelyㅜ After going around for consultations and looking into it, I finally decided on AlloDerm for the nasal bridge and autologous costal cartilage for the nasal tip.
AlloDerm? Donated dermis was an unfamiliar material, so before surgery I also looked it up a lot here and there haha. As expected, everyone asked a lot about how much AlloDerm/donated dermis gets absorbed and whether the nasal bridge becomes bumpy as it absorbs, so I want to tell you what I felt about that!! Still, there will probably be some individual differences!
My nasal bridge was originally on the low side, so I think they raised it a little higher than other people's! Maybe because it was overcorrected, at 1 week after removing the splint it really looked very high.. To the point that my worries back then feel pointless, now it has become reaaally much more natural! I wondered if the glabella starting point was too high, but as time passed, the nasal bridge, the glabella starting point, and the bridge all absorbed together and became natural.
**Also, my nasal skin did not stretch well and was a bit firm because of the contractureㅜㅜ So rather than raising the nose high, we set the surgery goal as lowering the nasal tip so the nostrils would not show.. They say human desire never ends... Before the revision, I clearly said I didn't care about height or anything, just please lower the pig-nose look..ㅋㅋㅋ But as time passed and the nose became natural, and now that I'm used to my current face, my nose looks a bit lowㅋㅋ So sometimes I think, should I have raised it a little more? haha..ha But when I look at my pre-op photos, my current nose was absolutely the best possible outcome!!!

Anyway, donated dermis is also dermis, not an implant, so when I see photos others took of me, the nasal bridge doesn't have that very smooth silicone-like feel.. But that doesn't mean it became bumpy like a severe hump nose, like ( ~~ ). Hmm.. It feels like, as time gradually passes, the original nose shape you naturally have comes out a little?? should I say..! It is definitely much more natural than silicone!! But celebrities and people around me with natural noses all have some degree of contour, too. It's just that level of contour, so it doesn't look like a operated nose and seems more natural.

And when I had silicone in, the nasal bridge felt hard, but this feels a little soft~ compared with silicone. As with all surgeries, it needs a lot of time, and time is the medicine.. At first, my nose looked very high, so I was a bit worried..! I guess it needed some time for the nose to settle haha. Except for needing some time because of the early avatar period.. I think everything is good..!! After time passed, the nose settled well, and now, strangely, I don't remember the contracted nose before revision surgery at allㅠ These days I can take off my mask confidently without worrying about my nose, so I really like it.
Oh, and the autologous costal cartilage used in the nasal tip also feels a little firm when I touch the tip, but I don't think it's firm to the point of being very uncomfortable or feeling like a foreign body! If I don't deliberately touch it, it's not really noticeableㅎㅎ
