It has been 2 months since I had square jaw surgery (cortical bone reduction, masseter reduction) at a plastic surgery clinic, so I came to write a review! I had often thought for a long time that my lower face was large, but since it is a major surgery, I kept debating whether or not to do it. Recently, I finally made up my mind and went around for consultations. Since it is not a minor procedure, I went to consultations at several places. Among them, Director Park did not push anything excessive and explained things realistically according to my condition, so I trusted him. He explained everything in detail for over 30 minutes while drawing pictures, which made it easy to understand, and he created a comfortable atmosphere, so I was able to ask my questions without difficulty. Of course, I focused on the director’s experience and skill, but the consultation manager and the other staff were all kind as well, so I was able to decide on that clinic without much hesitation. On the day of surgery, the director first explained in detail how the surgery would be done and eased the mood, telling me not to be too nervous~! After I woke up from anesthesia, I stayed hospitalized for one day. The nurse came by from time to time to change my hot/cold packs, and when I had any discomfort and pressed the call bell, they kindly helped me, so I was able to recover comfortably for the day. After the surgery ended, the director came to the recovery room to check on me, and he also came the next morning before discharge to see if I was okay. He even called me himself the next day... Maybe because I saw the director often after surgery, I was able to focus only on reducing the swelling without worrying too much. After coming home, I gargled every 2 hours, mainly ate porridge or soft foods, and bought New Care from the pharmacy to drink too! Being hungry couldn’t be helped... haha Since I had already gone through the surgery, I thought I should do my best, so I managed my recovery diligently. Now that it has been two months since surgery, at first I had a lot of worries and was very nervous, but I am living satisfied without regret. I like my naturally slimmer facial line, and people around me sometimes ask if I lost weight, so I feel proud. Sensation has almost all returned, and the scar has healed well too~~ I think there is still a little swelling left, but it does not really interfere with daily life, and it is gradually going away, so I do not pay much attention to it. When I had questions in the middle and asked via KakaoTalk, they answered kindly, so there was nothing inconvenient at all. I’m relieved that I’ve made it this far without any major difficulty! I’m really looking forward to how it will settle even more from now on. I wrote a lot because I hoped it would be at least a little helpful to people with the same concern, and I’ll come write another review again.
