I visited about 7 places in total. The reasons I excluded the others were... Some felt too conservative... Some said I might need retouching about 3 times... that it absolutely couldn’t be finished in one surgery... Some said the left side actually needs the crease raised / recommended additional surgeries like a forehead lift, fat repositioning, epicanthoplasty, lateral canthoplasty, etc... I excluded them because they weren’t the direction I wanted. I have sausage eyes. I had incisional double eyelid surgery with ptosis correction 10 years ago, and it was a botched case... I was just going to live like this, but this time I made up my mind and want to try correcting it. My mind is completely leaning toward 3 clinics.. ㅇㅁㄹ(ㄷㅇㅈ) The doctor stated the exact areas I wanted improved very factually and gave me a clear answer, saying it was possible and that it was their specialty; if it were something they couldn’t do, they would just send me away / The plan is first to release the existing adhesions and open it up, then likely either use a two-line method or remove a small amount of tissue.. ptosis correction I’m a little worried about the aftercare/postoperative service.. First of all, the clinic is really busy... I’m worried whether they’ll still consult with me properly later. They seem skilled, but this part worries me the most. ㅇㅇ1 They said I should expect to be about 80% satisfied, and the aftercare seems decent. They seem to take quite a lot of care in their own way / The plan is ptosis correction, removal of the existing crease line, lowering the incision, and a small amount of autologous fat grafting. I like everything.. I heard they’re known as the “Apgujeong sewing machine”.. The swelling also seems to go down quickly.. But one thing is that the fat grafting scares me a bit because it’s a different plan from other places. It’s a small amount and it’s autologous fat, but I’m scared that it might be okay for a few years after surgery and then later cause functional problems or side effects.,. ㄱㄴㅅㅇ This place also explained the areas for improvement accurately, and somehow confidence + experience + technique + willingness.. everything is good / The plan is the two-line method, ptosis correction, and crease-line removal if needed / Because of functional issues, they won’t touch the front part of the eye, and if there is enough extra tissue in the back part, they’ll do a slight excision. If looking only at lowering the crease line, the consultation was good and the doctor also seemed motivated, but I do wonder, will that improvement direction really be completely to my liking...? They didn’t give me a perfect definite answer.. More like, it will be lower than now.. I’m having decision paralysis... All 3 places have such different styles, and their pros and cons are clear.. hahaha I need various opinions because I’m desperate What do you all think?
