Review of posterior-auricular square jaw surgery

I had been extremely stressed about my square jaw since elementary school. It was always difficult because I kept trying to cover it with my hair. I finally felt that I really had to do it, so I had a consultation at just one plastic surgery clinic and scheduled the date right away. The director and the consultant were both kind and gave me a thorough consultation, so I felt I could trust them. I only had one procedure done: square jaw surgery. On the first day, after the surgery, I did not stay hospitalized and went home right away. I felt disoriented, my jaw was numb and tingling, and it was a bit hard, but it was not the level of pain I had imagined for the first day of jaw surgery, so I was surprised. Even on the first day, I carefully put soft cake into my mouth and ate it.. On the second day, I even ate rice with seaweed soup. On the third day, I was able to wear a padded jacket hood and take the subway. From the one-week mark, there was almost no hardship or pain, so my family and I were amazed every day. I also think my recovery may have been very fast because I did not have muscle resection or any other facial contouring procedures done together. I am currently around 7 months post-op, and I live happily every day looking at my changed jawline. People around me would never think I had surgery; they ask if I have been getting treatments lately, and say I look like I lost weight and that my face has become slimmer. I really think I made the right choice.

This is a surgery review for a procedure that pursues natural beauty.
