I’m finally getting it removed tomorrow.. I’m doing it at a hospital near my house, not the hospital where I originally had it done. I had an L-shaped silicone implant put in, so the doctor says we should remove it through an open approach (it was also inserted through an open approach), but at the hospital where I had it done before, when I had a removal consultation, they said to remove it through a closed approach.. So when I told him that, the doctor said, if the person who did the surgery says that, then let’s try closed first, and if it doesn’t work, open it then.. but.. What should I do? Because I work, I want to do closed if possible, but I’m worried that maybe because of the silicone my skin has become thin, and while taking it out the skin might tear or something.. (this is purely my imagination.. I have no professional knowledge, so it’s just imagination..) It’s not straight, it’s L-shaped, so even just thinking about it, somehow I feel like it might not be removable through a closed approach.. The doctor says that even if we do it open, after 3 or 4 days I can put a little concealer on the opened scar and go out, and it won’t be noticeable, but I’m still worried.. After reading removal reviews here and there, I’ve seen some where people removing older implants said the doctor really struggled to pull it out, so I wonder if it’s possible to struggle and pull it out from inside the nose.. If we start with closed and it doesn’t work, then switch to open, I also wonder if that will just leave a worse scar.. That’s the only thing I’m worried about.. Ah. I’ve been really scared and worried a lot all this time, but now that it’s finally coming out tomorrow, I feel like it’ll be such a relief, while also worrying what if the shape becomes strange enough that I can’t have a social life... I can only hope I’m lucky.. For reference, the reason I’m not going to the original hospital that said they would remove it closed is.. the doctor’s face looked like all his confidence had completely disappeared and he looked depressed... so I can’t trust him... Back when he did my surgery before, he looked so confident and trustworthy..
