Review of Facelift Lifting, Under-Eye Fat Repositioning, and Alar Reduction

Hello, I’m a man who has just entered his 40s. I originally had some nasolabial folds and sagging around my mouth, but once I reached my mid-to-late 30s, it became very noticeable when I looked in the mirror. Every time I saw it, it bothered me, and my face felt like it had more contours or lines, so it looked less neat and kind of messy, which bothered me every time. As for my nose, I have a bulbous nose and my nostrils are wide sideways, so my nose often stood out in photos, to the point that I disliked having my picture taken. It was a major complex. The under-eye area also became more sunken and darker, so I kept hearing that I looked tired whenever people saw me, and I’d say I looked somewhat lifeless.. My eyes also somehow looked smaller. On top of that, my skin isn’t particularly good either. Skin can be improved little by little, but I felt my facial features couldn’t really be changed except through surgery, so I made up my mind to go for it! In the past, I only wanted nose surgery, but as more and more things I didn’t like started standing out, my desire to improve them together grew, so I decided to have surgery all at once. I had a minimal-incision SMAS facelift + alar reduction + under-eye fat repositioning. The reason I chose 345 was that, although it was quite a while ago, when I went to consultations at a few places about nose surgery, even though many of them were quite well known in communities, most recommended putting in an implant, and I felt like they were adding extra surgical options to raise the price. I didn’t want to raise my nasal bridge; my only complex was that my alar base was wide, so I only wanted to do something related to reducing it. At this place, they explained in detail what kind of change I wanted, the degree of change, and the expected range of change after surgery, and they kindly answered all the questions I was curious about, so I liked it. They seemed to pursue changes from surgery that are as natural and not excessive as possible. Usually, when I had consultations, many felt rushed, but this one proceeded with enough time, so it was really comfortable. All the staff were kind, and the clinic interior being clean and luxurious was a bonus. After surgery, the director personally called to check on me, and I was grateful. Right after surgery, aside from struggling as the anesthesia wore off (I guess it tends to wear off late for me; it was the same during my health checkup), I didn’t have major pain or discomfort. For about a week after surgery, I rested and only took light walks. Fortunately, there wasn’t major swelling, and only the lateral cheekbone area and the front of the ears where I had the lifting surgery were slightly swollen, but it wasn’t very noticeable. The stitches near the hair were hidden, so they didn’t bother me much, and I only wore a mask until the stitches on my nose were removed. Now that 2 months have passed, more than 90% of the swelling has gone down. I didn’t take anything special, just consistently took the hospital-prescribed medication and pumpkin juice. The reason I wanted lifting surgery was because of the nasolabial folds and sagging around the mouth, and those improved, but my face shape also improved a lot when viewed from the front. Before, the line came down below the ear and had a bend near the jaw, and it somehow looked elongated. Now the line connects smoothly, and as more volume has formed on the side, the elongated look has largely disappeared. I think that’s what I like the most. The alar width seems just right now. The broad, spread-out feeling I used to notice when looking at photos or the mirror is definitely gone, so I’m really happy. The under-eye hollowness and dark circles disappeared as if time had turned back, and when I look at them together with the other surgeries, it feels like I’ve gone back more than 10 years. Before, I was reluctant to be photographed and had such a severe complex, but now I’ve gained a bit of confidence. I didn’t like wearing glasses because they made my face feel like it had more lines, but now they suit me too, so I’m really satisfied.
