<Before surgery><After surgery>The whole process from consultation to surgery and aftercare for my rhinoplasty was really rough, but I’m still satisfied enough to write a review, so in a way I feel really relieved. I’m writing this because I thought it might help everyone who, like me, is looking into cosmetic surgery for the first time and feels confused! The nose I wanted - I wanted my bulbous nose and hump nose to be clearly corrected - I didn’t want it to look too natural.. just moderately polished and natural-looking - I don’t like a pointy nose. Even if it was made slimmer, I wanted it to look appropriately subtle, without looking obviously operated on After going around for consultations, getting CT scans, and hearing the directors’ consultations, I realized my hump nose was much more severe than I had thought.. lol I wondered if just simply evening out the height difference would be enough, but everywhere I went, they said hump correction was essential, and that if I wanted a slim nose, I needed bulbous nose correction too, so I did both. Still, one fortunate thing was that I really went to a lot of consultations, and most hospitals gave me very similar diagnoses..... So among them, I had surgery at the clinic that shaped it in the nose style I wanted, and I asked them to make it look polished and natural-looking with a slight curve rather than a straight bridge that just drops down. Swelling differs from person to person, but for me, I think the major swelling went down within 3 weeks, and after that the minor swelling gradually subsided. Maybe because ear cartilage was used for the nasal tip, it wasn’t that hard and felt natural! Honestly, I didn’t have any major difficulties, so I just lived while checking whether the nose swelling was going down, but thinking about it, the thing I was most careful about was whether something might hit my nose after surgery. You end up being careful with your nose.. lol So even on the subway I lived with my hand covering my nose, and since that became a habit, I’m still doing it even now lolol Still, I haven’t had any problems with my nose during that time, so I’m satisfied.. I think the nose really has a big effect on the overall vibe of the face. Since getting surgery, I’ve been hearing a lot of compliments that my image looks much more refined.
