I had the cheekbone reduction I’d worried about my whole life done in January at BT Plastic Surgery. I decided so quickly that I was worried up until the day before surgery, but after the operation I felt like I’d worried for nothing. The manager was super kind too! The doctor also came by the recovery room right after the surgery ended and told me the operation had gone well, so it was a very reassuring surgery. I also had an anterior chin implant at the same time, and that implant.....hurt like crazy..... The cheekbones hurt less than I expected. Maybe because the chin implant was so big that the tooth pain made the other pain less noticeable, haha. Anyway, I barely bruised from the cheekbones, and aside from swelling and not being able to open my mouth wide, there wasn’t much discomfort or pain. For the first month after surgery there wasn’t much change, so I thought I should have asked for something more dramatic... but by the second and third month the swelling went down fast. Until month 3, honestly, I think other people wouldn’t have recognized it unless I told them. A change only I knew about? But by month 6, even though I kept gaining weight, people around me started saying my face looked smaller and asking if I’d lost weight. I’ll have to watch and see whether the swelling goes down even more, but my personal satisfaction is top-notch!
