I came up from outside Seoul to get a consultation for double eyelid surgery (Monday, 2025.06.23). I got consultations at 2 places in Gangnam, ㄴㄴ and ㅁㅋ. 1. ㄴㄴ (Director ㅂㅅㅇ) It was nice that the hospital was right in front of the station exit. Also, the hospital was set up like a hotel, so I was a little taken aback, and there were many foreigners. I had the consultation in a private room(?) and the order was consultant-director-consultant. Here, I showed photos of eyes I wanted while getting the consultation, and I wanted the director to explain things in a way that felt like they understood and handled everything efficiently, but I did not get that feeling. Then they said if I had surgery on June 30, they would give me a huge discount. They said anesthesia would also be done by an anesthesiology specialist. With that, I got an estimate of 2.7 million won (I do not remember whether it was incisional or whether both epicanthoplasty and lateral canthoplasty were included, and I only remember for sure that ptosis correction was includedㅠㅅㅜ). Oh, and when the consultant asked where my next consultation was, I said I was going to ㅁㅋ, and I wondered if I should not have said that 2. ㅁㅋ (Director ㅇㅇㅈ) My appointment was at 1, but it ended after 2:30. The consultation was about 10 minutes. The waiting was no joke. Anyway, the order was consultant-director-consultant, and as I said above, I hoped the director would explain things in a way that felt like they understood and handled everything efficiently, and it did feel that way. Here I got an estimate of 2.1 million for epicanthoplasty, upper canthoplasty, and partial incision, and what was unusual was that they said it would be done under sleep anesthesia and they would not wake me up midway. When I asked why, they said because there was no need to touch my muscle, so I did not need to open my eyes. I did not feel much pressure from the consultant here, so I decided to have surgery, paid a 100,000 won deposit, and scheduled the surgery for a Saturday in July. There is no anesthesiology specialist, but I think I heard that the director administers anesthesia. Also, I went for the consultation in midsummer so it was extremely hot, and even the restroom had air conditioning ㄷㄷ It was cool haha Looking up reviews here, ㅁㅋ is famous for male surgeries and rhinoplasty, so I wonder how double eyelid surgery will turn out haha
