Nose: It’s my first nose surgery, but I’m considering costal cartilage (because I’m also concerned about shape deformation if ear cartilage is used). I want improvement of the nasal tip more than a high nasal bridge. My nasal septum is slightly deviated, but it doesn’t interfere with daily life (+my rhinitis is allergic seasonal rhinitis, so there’s nothing I can do about that). I dislike pointy noses (Winㅇ from Knowing Bros, Kwon ㅇ-bi, Lee Siㅇ) and curved semi-upturned ski-slope noses. I prefer a stable, slightly rounded nasal columella and nostril wing area. Cheekbones: My head itself is originally large, and my face shape isn’t angular but roundish; I have some facial fat. 1. ㅂㅌ - ㅇㅅㅎ, ㅇㅎㅂ *Recommended costal cartilage / recommended 3-4 mm silicone / lower the columella and correct the nasolabial angle / nostril reduction *When I asked if the bone on the left side of the nasal wall protrudes more, they only mentioned that osteotomy would be okay. *They said if I dislike a pinched-nose look, they need to supplement the nostril? anyway, with ear cartilage. -For cheekbones, I’m a case that can see enough effect / they were very conservative about square jaw and chin tip (they said because I’m the type that will sag, the downsides would be bigger than the benefits, so they would be very careful and couldn’t recommend it....) -Chin tip: no need to reduce the size or length, and even if doing minimal T-osteotomy to improve the shape, I would need to go as far as the jawline for a visible change in face shape, but it wouldn’t be dynamic enough to add 2 procedures. -It was the first clinic I visited, so I thought it was more expensive than expected... but after going to other clinics, it was on the cheaper side;; -The consultation was generally fine. Compared with other clinics, the level of fame and reviews for nose + facial contouring felt similarly balanced. 2. ㄴㅌ - ㅇㅂㅎ, ㅇㅈㅎ - Recommended costal cartilage / recommended 2-3 mm silicone - When I asked if I could consider no implant if it goes in low at about 2 mm, they didn’t recommend it because a step-off could develop even later. -I asked about nasal osteotomy, but they didn’t recommend it. -If using autologous costal cartilage, there is no need to use ear cartilage additionally. -For bulbous nose correction, since I dislike pointy noses, they would preserve 70-80% of my current nose. *Recommended cheekbone reduction (left side is larger, so resect more; right side is elevated more at 45 degrees, so consider asymmetry) *The features visible on bone images look more prominent on my actual face (not only bone, but soft tissue, muscle, and fat have a lot of influence). *They also talked about square jaw and chin tip, so when I told them the conservative opinion I heard at Clinic 1, they said there was no need to reduce the chin size or length and mentioned a mini V-line without pin fixation (commonly called rotational shaving). *But more than a mini V-line, they recommended buccal fat and nasolabial line liposuction. >I hadn’t thought about liposuction so I hadn’t looked into it before going... but when I said, now that I think about it, it’s less dangerous than bone surgery(?) and seems more necessary, I was tempted. *During the consultation, I could feel they were very attentive and meticulous (felt like they think a lot about different scenarios). *The photos I brought were review photos from ordinary people or cases with a feeling I dislike, and they told me to prepare celebrity photos of my desired aesthetic. >Insanely expensive... why is it so expensive... But the consultant tells you everything if you ask, yet somehow feels languid, like do it if you want, don’t if you don’t.. It was a bit draining, and I was shocked by the total amount, so I don’t really remember how much each item was; >There was no pressure, but the total price changes depending on whether you put down a deposit;; so I put down a deposit for now They said it’s refundable.. 3. ㅇㅇ (private clinic at Nonhyeon Station) - ㄱㅎㅈ -I was a bit worried because they mainly do noses (contracted noses, revision surgery) and facial contouring seemed to be a smaller portion > But the consultant said the doctor specializes in 'bone' and is sincere about it, and because he has done orthognathic surgery, he also specializes in facial contouring. -Recommended costal cartilage -Around 2 mm silicone / since I have protruding eyes and large eyes, a more glamorous, higher nose could also suit me, but if that’s not the direction I’m pursuing, 2-3 mm is enough. -After pulling on my nose, considering the angle after raising it, they said I don’t need nostril reduction. -It felt like they are very serious about the foundational work of firmly establishing the nasal support column.. They explained it in detail with a PPT (I couldn’t actually show the photos I prepared lol). -Other clinics said you can’t be equally greedy about both length and height, and that each takes a share out of 100%, but here the consultant said with the director’s skill, we could try to pursue both... *They also recommended cheekbone reduction / When I mentioned the liposuction I heard about at Clinic 2, they said they don’t do liposuction and don’t recommend it either (because soft tissue gets damaged anyway and loses strength, so it inevitably sags). *They instead recommended Ultherapy, saying there are many good procedures like Ultherapy.. lol *From the side profile angle of brow bone-nose-lip line, my anterior chin is slightly insufficient, so I could do T-osteotomy and advance it slightly, but if that’s not my taste, it can also be done with rotational shaving without necessarily doing T-osteotomy. >But I said it isn’t severe microgenia, and I like the current feeling, so I don’t want advancement. >Then I was debating whether to do rotational shaving or not... and they said if I’m unsure, it’s right not to do it. -Insanely, insanely expensive... even more expensive than Clinic 2 It’s a fixed-price system and everything is organized in a table, so it doesn’t seem like further discounts are possible...;; -But the consultant was really friendly and communication was good, the director was confident, and after-service is lifetime (though anesthesia or material costs would probably be charged). ---- In my mind, 2 feels slightly excluded,,, I’m going to visit four more places, but this is really so hard Next consultation is this Saturday!! If anyone here knows a blacklist for nose or facial contouring, please share....
