Eye Re-Surgery

Consultation for revision double-eyelid surgery at ㅇㅇㅅㅊㄷ and ㅋㄷ

I had double-eyelid surgery before, and the skin above my eyes now covers the line, so I was wondering whether I should have skin removal, fat removal, raise the line, or get a forehead lift. I narrowed down hospitals that had many reviews with the kind of look I wanted on Instagram or hospital review posts. I prefer a refreshed look where the front is thin and the back gets wider (I prefer lifting the tail end of the line).

I had consultations at two places. (ㅇㅇㅅㅊㄷ - mainly eyes, Dosan-daero 435 ㅋㄷ - mainly nose, Exit 4 of Nonhyeon Station) I visited ㅇㅇㅅㅊㄷ targeting the eyes. I went to ㅋㄷ because their aesthetic sense for noses matched mine, and while I was there I asked about eyes too. Both places told me realistically what could be improved.

My current state is incisional double-eyelid surgery, ptosis correction, and non-incisional posterior canthoplasty.

ㅇㅇㅅㅊㄷ : My current line is not bad. : Since the distance between my eyes and eyebrows is on the short side, they did not recommend skin excision or fat removal. ; So they said the line could not be raised very much, but if it were raised, it would be around this much~ and showed me about two options. I really liked the line. : I showed them a photo from the hospital reviews that I liked (cat-like eyes, with the double eyelid getting thicker toward the outer corner, slightly lifted and looking refreshed/open). : The doctor explained the range within which they operate and the line that naturally forms depending on eye structure. Within the range the doctor can fix, they would try to create the shape I want as much as possible, but depending on eye structure, each person has a different structure that allows the outer line to lift. But I think they told me my eye structure is not one where a line opens sharply upward. That made me trust them. They also told me that the eyes I showed had a forehead lift done too. But they said it did not seem necessary right now, and since they could just lightly fix the line non-incisionally for now, I should try that first and do a forehead lift later when I want one. : I asked whether it would be good to do an upper epicanthoplasty too because the inner corners of my eyes look a bit closed, and they said one side is a bit closed, so they would recommend slightly opening only one side to match symmetry. : Both incisional and non-incisional are possible, and since my ptosis correction is holding up well with no need for revision ptosis correction, they suggested going with a light non-incisional fixation.

Conclusion: They told me what kind of eyes I wanted and what was possible with my eyes, and did not recommend anything excessive. (However, I know my own eye structure pretty accurately and roughly know what lines can and cannot come out, so I tend to understand right away even if they explain roughly.) People who do not know well should ask specifically.

ㅋㄷ : Since they focus on noses, they first told me what was bothering them about my nose. They said if only that bothers me, not having surgery is also an option. They said it would be a bit of a waste to harvest rib cartilage and pay that much just to do only that, lol. They said if I wanted to improve what bothers me and also fix things like this and that, then I should have surgery. -> I really liked that. I only mentioned the one thing that bothered me the most and did not mention the next thing, but they told me on their own what would be good to improve. Because their aesthetic sense matches mine, I liked the surgical direction they recommended.

: For the eyes, they said the line is currently well-made. They said we should excise only the skin covering the upper eyes in this way and bring the line out so it shows. But they also said I would be more satisfied if I did this when it droops a bit more. Right now is an awkward period where there is no dramatic change, but it is still a bit bothersome. -> I agree. But my personality cannot wait until it droops more, lol.

Anyway, I liked both places. I think I will do my eyes at ㅇㅇㅅㅊㄷ and my nose at ㅋㄷ. But honestly, my nose does not bother me that much, so I think I will think about it until next year. I already booked my eyes for this month.

Since I got a discount through a review event anyway, I will bring back a review.

Additional. What I consider most important is the doctor’s aesthetic sense. Everyone operates in the shape they personally think is pretty. No matter how good their hand skills are, if the preferred aesthetic differs, you will definitely end up getting revision surgery. I am not young, so I prefer a natural look. Within the range where it is noticeable that I had surgery, the limit for me is that it looks pretty and naturally well done. (My current nose is noticeable as having been done, but it is pretty and natural. But the part I am considering nose surgery for is because I want to improve even that slightly operated-on look... so I think that is why they told me they would not recommend doing another surgery just to improve only that.) At that time, I had it done at ㅌㄹㄷ. I recommend it. Even then, my alar cartilage was already badly damaged... I think the result was not bad given that condition. I liked it at the time and posted a review in a community, but I deleted it after a few months. I had stopped coming in because I liked it, then remembered when I logged in again because of my drooping eyes, lol.

Additional. I originally planned to do it in winter, but some places would not accept an in-person consultation because they said that was too far away. Someone like a front-desk staff member only gave me an online consultation via chat, and without even looking at my eyes, quoted an insanely expensive price for incisional eye revision + revision ptosis correction + forehead lift, so I did not go.
