<Epicanthoplasty scar on the right eye>Since I wore double eyelid glue every day from age 14, my eyelids sagged a lot, so my already small eyes became even smaller. At 16, I begged and begged until I went to get double eyelid surgery -> I didn’t even know what clinic-hopping was, and just had it done right away at the first clinic I visited -> I had double eyelid surgery + epicanthoplasty + ptosis correction I don’t remember the surgery itself being painful at all, but I remember calm classical music playing, being told to open my eyes midway through and seeing red in front of my eyes (because of blood), and I don’t know if it was the ptosis correction or what, but for about 15 minutes my eyes felt stinging and like they were being pulled After surgery (before the swelling went down) - Even after the anesthesia wore off, I never once felt pain or discomfort I just... wore sunglasses when going out and stayed home most of the time Pros and cons I felt over 7 years Pros 1. My eyes definitely got bigger, Pros 2. My image didn’t change drastically, so I became prettier in a natural way Pros 3. Just one change to my eyes, but people treated me differently Cons 1. I got an epicanthoplasty scar. No one knows unless I mention it, and makeup covers it, but it still bothers me a lot Cons 2. The double eyelid lines are subtly uneven (a difference only I know) I have to draw my eyeliner unevenly to match the lines so that it looks symmetrical to others - I do feel some regret, wondering what it would have been like if I had looked around at more clinics, but when I see friends around me whose surgeries went badly, they have sausage-like eyes... compared to that, I often think I was lucky If I don’t say anything, no one knows I had surgery, and when I say I did, people are surprised and say it turned out really well without looking obvious. Even when my eyes are swollen, my double eyelid lines have never come undone.
