I had my first rhinoplasty around 2013, and at the time I asked them to make it natural so it wouldn't look obvious. The result was actually like that, and after a few years, no one really knew I had gotten nose surgery.. But around 2017, my nasal bone fractured once, and after that the silicone became fixed while shifted to the left, so my nose kept looking crooked from then on, and it seemed like the nasal tip cartilage had almost all been absorbed, leaving the nasal tip blunt. I kept putting off revision surgery because it was a hassle, but when I looked at photos, the crookedness seemed to be getting worse, so I decided to have revision surgery. This time, I decided to have revision surgery to correct the crooked nose while making it as high as possible and raising the nasal tip again. This time, rather than just making it natural, I wanted a nose that suited my face while having a defined line, and I requested that from Director Kim Jae-yoon as well. After thinking it over, I proceeded with donated costal cartilage + ear cartilage, and for the nasal bridge, since my nasal bone had fractured once, I used custom silicone. The nasal tip was fixed with quadruple fixation so there would be no risk of it bending or drooping. The reason I chose Lowell Plastic Surgery was that while I was going around diligently for consultations, I heard many revision surgery reviews about this place, and because it is a one-doctor clinic, I trusted that the doctor would personally care for me. On top of that, except for the custom silicone, there were no additional charges even for revision surgery or osteotomy, which was really nice, and the consultant explained everything very carefully during the consultation, which also played a part. Right after surgery, I had some bruising and swelling, but recovery was faster than I expected. The bruising went away quickly, and the swelling peaked on day 3 and then gradually went down. After removing the splint after surgery, I went straight back to work. Now it's been about 2 and a half weeks since surgery, and although the swelling fluctuates a bit every morning, most of the major swelling seems to be gone. Most of all, I'm really satisfied that the crooked nose was corrected, and the line has become much more defined than before, so people around me have been telling me a lot that it turned out well!!! Every time I go to the hospital for follow-up checks, the doctor personally checks my condition, and the consultant always takes kind care of me, so the anxiety I had about revision surgery was relieved a lot. The final swelling has not completely gone down yet, and because the swelling fluctuates, I'm a bit concerned that there seems to be some step-off in the nose.. But the initial line came out so smooth and nice that I'm eagerly waiting for the day the swelling fully goes down.. I hope one month and two months pass quickly and it settles well, and I really think choosing revision surgery was the right decision!!
