Facelift in My 50s

After strong opposition from my husband and after thinking it over again and again, I finally decided to have cosmetic surgery. Since I live abroad, it was hard to visit clinics in person, so I searched here and there online and found Aiting through mothers. After seeing the surgery results of someone’s mother and mother-in-law, I came to trust them, and when I came to Korea and had an in-person consultation, I trusted them even more, so I decided on a face lift, neck lift, forehead lift, sub-brow lift, and SMAS lower blepharoplasty, and booked right away. As the reservation date got closer day by day, I was so scared that I couldn’t sleep. I thought this wouldn’t do, and told myself firmly that instead of being stressed for the rest of my life, I should make up my mind and do it. On the day of surgery, I was even more scared of the neck lift and was going to skip it, but the director said the results would be better if I did it, so I decided to go ahead. The surgery was at the end of June, about a month ago, exactly day 36 now. When I got onto the operating table, I was so nervous that my blood pressure shot up and it was really chaotic. Then when I opened my eyes, I actually felt calm. I was out of it, but it was better than I expected. As one or two days of recovery passed, I had been really worried about swelling and bruising, but there was almost none. Just a faint yellowish color that was barely visible. I went to the hospital for treatment for 3 days, had slight dizziness for about 2 days, ate pumpkin porridge for about a week, then had no energy so I went straight back to regular meals. As expected, once I ate regular food, there was a little swelling. My face changed every day, and honestly at first I wondered what I would do if my face looked strange, but for now I liked my face without wrinkles and the way my face was changing. Anyway, this is not a simple surgery. Now it has become much more natural, but because of the forehead lift, the scars inside my hair are itchy, and under my chin still feels heavy, hard, and tight. I guess it will get better with time. My face really looks natural. Before going back, I saw Director Kim Jong-gyu, and he checked my surgical progress and said it looked good. There were slight lines between my eyebrows and in the nasolabial folds, so when I said I felt a bit disappointed, he said I could keep managing them with Botox. After getting the injections, I kept feeling a little anxious, so he warmly reassured me and told me not to worry and to be sure to call if anything seemed wrong. The consultation manager kindly stayed by my side from the first consultation to the end and even helped with facial care. I’m so grateful. From the director to everyone at Aiting, they are so kind and make you feel comfortable. When I go in October, I want to go back for care again and continue maintenance from now on.
