I had severe nasal congestion since I was young. Both sides would get blocked alternately, and breathing at night was extremely uncomfortable. On top of that, I was also not satisfied with the appearance. My nasal bridge was uneven, and my nose looked wide, so should I say my face looked a bit blunt... I think I had always wanted a slim, defined nose with a soft, slightly upturned half-beoseon line... So I went to a hospital where both could be done together and had functional and cosmetic nose surgery at the same time. I had surgery using a custom implant and septal cartilage, with hump reduction and osteotomy. ✔ The reason I chose a custom implant was that my nasal bridge was slightly uneven and there was left-right asymmetry, so I judged that having it custom-made for my face, rather than using a standard implant, would make the line much more natural and stable. As a result, my side profile came out really smooth. ✔ For the nasal tip, autologous septal cartilage was used. Since this cartilage came from my own body, they said it feels less foreign and is less likely to collapse even over time. My nose was on the wider side, so the support role for the nasal tip was important, and they built it up firmly with septal cartilage. Thanks to the deviated septum correction and rhinitis surgery done together, breathing is really comfortable now, and the nasal congestion I suffered from feels like a lie. Rather than an unconditionally high and straight nose, I wanted a natural and soft half-beoseon line, and that preference was reflected exactly, so I'm really satisfied with my side profile! I'm 200% satisfied with my results now!
