Breast Surgery Reviews@breast-review

Review after visiting 6 clinics (ㅇㅅ, ㅇㅇ, ㅇㅂㅇㅇ, ㅇㅌ, ㄷㅌ, …

Hello! It has already been about 2 weeks since my surgery, but I’m writing down the details from all the clinics I worked hard to visit! I got a lot of help when doing online and in-person research, so I was grateful to those people whose names I don’t even know~ [Specs] Breast base width 11.2-12.5 (came out slightly different depending on the clinic) Rib cage 69-70, own breast tissue AA, asymmetric breasts, a little accessory breast tissue Height 162, weight 52-53, waist 63, hips 95 First surgery (no childbirth experience) No preferred surgical method (they commonly said Mentor Xtra/Motiva and transaxillary/inframammary incision were all fine; most basically recommended dual-plane, but a few clinics also recommended subfascial placement) [Consultation List] I narrowed my online research down to about 17 places from communities and apps, and visited a total of 6 clinics in person! I tried to look for places where safety and shape seemed fairly assured, that were not too large-scale, where the surgeon only performs breast surgery, and where communication between the surgeon and patient seemed relatively easy~ ㄱㅈㅇ ㅇㅅ ㅇㅇ (Director Kim ㅇㅈ) ㅇㅂㅇㅇ (alphabet, located near Sinsa Station) ㅇㅌ (Director Jo ㅈㅁ) ㄷㅌ (Director Lee ㅈㅇ) ㅅㅇㅇ (Director Park ㅈㅎ) [Consultation Reviews] (I didn’t write the costs separately) 1. ㄱㅈㅇ ㅇㅅ -Consultation fee: 30,000 KRW -Consultation: Compared with the long wait time (about 1.5 hours?), the consultation itself was not long. Since it was my first consultation, I didn’t ask many questions about the surgery itself, so rather than a consultation about the surgical method, it was more like trying on sizes and “Wow~ isn’t it so pretty?” I think this would have been better to visit later in the order! As an aside, the combination of the director + consultant somehow felt like a lively AI combo lol -Tests: Preoperative tests (ECG + urine + blood) done at the clinic -Medication: Hemostatic medication for 2 days before surgery, antibiotics for 9 days after surgery, capsular contracture prevention medication for 2 months -Hospitalization: Same-day discharge -Treatment: Drain for 2 days after surgery, bandage for 5 days after surgery, stitches removed on day 7, corrective garment worn for 3-4 months -Other: One board-certified anesthesiologist on site 2. ㅇㅇ (Director Kim ㅇㅈ) -Consultation fee: 20,000 KRW -Consultation: Wait time about 30 minutes. Director Kim ㅇㅈ was calm and explained the triple-plane technique with a PPT. Checked fat and skin thickness with ultrasound. Felt like they appropriately reflected the patient’s opinion. Seemed like a master of transaxillary incision -Tests: Preoperative blood test done at the clinic -Medication: Hemostatic medication for 2 days before surgery, antibiotics for 2 weeks after surgery, then capsular contracture medication for 3 months -Hospitalization: One-day hospitalization available -Treatment: Bandage on the day, corrective bra the next day -Aftercare: Caps + swelling laser + radiofrequency. Every 2 weeks from week 3 to 3 months, then monthly; scar-care laser is unlimited from 6 months onward -Other: Expanding and relocating to Sinnonhyeon Station as of 6/30, two board-certified anesthesiologists on site, 24-hour emergency call, CCTV can be viewed within one month (if requested in advance before surgery) 3. ㅇㅂㅇㅇ -Consultation fee: 10,000 KRW -Consultation: Had a “Dr. Kkachu” kind of vibe, and the consultation was really good (good character, and I was grateful that he explained everything in detail) -Tests: Preoperative tests (ECG + urine + blood) done at an internal medicine clinic affiliated with the hospital -Medication: I don’t remember in detail -Hospitalization: Same-day discharge -Treatment: Bandage + painless injection on the day (returned the next day to have it removed) -Aftercare: Weekly Caps etc. from weeks 1-6, scar care from 3 months/6 months onward -Other: Live CCTV broadcast (guardian can check in real time), felt like they do many revision surgeries, seemed like they would take good care of AS and follow-up 4. ㅇㅌ (Director Jo ㅈㅁ) -Consultation fee: I don’t think there was one, but I’m not sure -Consultation: Checked skin/fat thickness with ultrasound, and the consultation was kind and detailed (I asked a lot of questions, so thank you..), recommended subfascial placement -Tests: I don’t remember in detail -Hospitalization: Same-day discharge -Treatment: No drain or bandage. For subfascial placement, a sports bra; for transaxillary incision, a corrective garment; upper band is common to both -Aftercare: Ultrasound checkup + aftercare at weeks 1/2/3, months 1/3/6, and at 1 year -Other: They don’t use Caps but explained the reason. Felt like they prioritize the patient’s fast recovery. Board-certified anesthesiologist on site, CCTV can be checked if requested in advance, about 3 surgeries per day (no surgeries on Thursdays) 5. ㄷㅌ (Director Lee ㅈㅇ) -Consultation fee: 10,000 KRW -Consultation: Had an early-adopter vibe because they explained smartly with an ultrasound machine + iPad + dual screens lol. Measured my waist and hips too to check balance. Recommended Motiva considering dense glandular breast tissue in Asians. Recommended subfascial placement. Known for combining with hybrid augmentation, but didn’t particularly recommend it -Medication: I don’t remember in detail -Tests: Internal medicine checkup with no extra fee -Hospitalization: Same-day discharge -Treatment: Went home with taping + corrective garment + upper band -Aftercare: Hyperbaric oxygen etc. on days 1/3, Caps at weeks 1/2/4, then scar care, ultrasound exam from month 6 onward -Other: Emphasized operating room cleanliness, board-certified anesthesiologist on site, CCTV can be viewed upon request 6. ㅅㅇㅇ (Director Park ㅈㅎ) -Consultation fee: I don’t think there was one, but I’m not sure -Consultation: At first, I had already made up my mind on another clinic, so I went thinking I’d just attend the consultation I had booked (foreshadowing lol). A staff member told me a time slot when I could have the consultation relatively more leisurely, so I booked then. Maybe because of that, the consultation was detailed. Overall, it felt like an appropriate mix of some features of a large hospital and some features of a private clinic (like looking at body-shape design), and if you go for a consultation you’ll probably relate, but it was nice to see how he seemed to actively try putting various good things into the hospital system, make the PPT himself, appeal the strengths, and explain seriously? It touched my heart (the impact may have been greater because he is a Seoul National University specialist + worked at a large breast-specialized hospital lol,.lol) -Tests: Blood test + ultrasound test at an affiliated hospital (I had already made up my mind about surgery and paid out of pocket separately for ultrasound + mammography, but just got them again lol because it was free) -Medication: No hemostatic medication before surgery, antibiotics for 1 week after surgery, capsular contracture medication for 1 month only for Mentor -Hospitalization: Same-day discharge -Treatment: Went home with taping + corrective bra + upper band, no restrictions on Caps etc., scar laser at 6 months -Other: CCTV can be viewed within 2 weeks, maximum 3 surgeries per day, AS available, 24-hour emergency call, emphasized operating room cleanliness (air-conditioning/ventilation system installed) While doing all the online and in-person research, it was bothersome, and since everyone said slightly different things, it actually made me more confused. But I think it’s not a process of finding the perfect hospital, but just a process of fatefully encountering a hospital that makes me feel comfortable. If I had to compare it, it’s like a blind date,,... hahaha lol haha kkalkkal ^_^ ha Now that I’ve had the surgery, I can see that the other clinics definitely had many strengths too, and I also feel that things I thought were important at the time may not have been that important, so I don’t think you need to worry too painfully! I hope you meet a clinic you like~~
