They said the force holding my eyes open is too weak.. Ptosis correction came up too, but when they tried making a line, there was a lot of fat toward the outer end of the line, so they said it would be better to remove fat together. They said my eyes would look really pretty with canthoplasty. They recommended doing epicanthoplasty and upper canthoplasty together, but it seems like only this place calls it diagonal canthoplasty.. I can understand recommending epicanthoplasty because of the Mongolian fold, but I’m not sure about upper canthoplasty.. Under-eye fat repositioning - they said it would be good to do under-eye fat repositioning together when doing double eyelid surgery, and that fat grafting was unnecessary. The director explained the types of lines that would form with non-incisional versus incisional methods, so I understood it a bit better this time. Even so, since I couldn’t give up on non-incisional, they said that looking at it long term, incisional has better fixation, so I was convinced.. For canthoplasty, they said they would open only the inner corners very slightly because of the Mongolian folds, and told me not to touch anything else. They said my eyes are already long horizontally, so they’re pretty. Under-eye fat repositioning - honestly, they said I’m a much better case for under-eye fat repositioning than for double eyelid surgery. They said if the repositioning surgery goes well, fat grafting is practically unnecessary.. I liked that the director confidently said they don’t mention unnecessary things for no reason and that we should only do what will definitely give a natural effect. They did say they would make the incision as minimal as possible, so recovery would be much faster than a regular incision. They said the point is to make it natural, yeah. They made a line for me, but it was slightly high by my standards.. kind of between in-out and semi-out? I said it was a bit high, but I think that’s the director’s preferred aesthetic. Because I have a lot of eyelid fat, fat removal is essential.. Under-eye fat repositioning - they said I absolutely should do it.. They said even just this would make my impression look brighter. OR Plastic Surgery (large clinic) Double eyelid - partial incision + epicanthoplasty + ptosis correction They said I do have a lot of eyelid fat, but my eyes could be done with partial incision plus ptosis correction. They said ptosis correction is essential because not much of my iris is exposed! (Actually, I only heard about ptosis correction here... so I’m unsure.) They said I don’t need fat removal, and that even with partial incision, the line can be clear enough. I requested an in-out line > they made a slightly lower line and said that suited my eye shape well. Under-eye fat repositioning - they explained under-eye fat repositioning more than double eyelid surgery, and said it’s not a difficult case and that it would improve a lot. Right now, the fat is protruding, making it look like under-eye hollowing, so fat grafting is unnecessary.. All 4 places, including this one, told me to only do under-eye fat repositioning!! I wrote this as it came to mind, but I hope it helps everyone too!! Oh, and I went around to several places because I wanted to do under-eye fat repositioning together, and personally, eye-specialized clinics really explained things well. It wasn’t like the consultation just flowed according to what I wanted. I liked the places that pointed out and explained things I didn’t know.
