Would it make sense if I said the thing I hated most was how my nostril wings spread when I smiled? lol My nose was so round overall that my whole impression looked round too, and it wasn’t the innocent, pure image I had dreamed of since I was young I kept thinking this was all because of my nose shape I felt like just changing my nose shape would bring me closer to the look I wanted, so I think that’s how I started looking into rhinoplasty Even normally, I would read rhinoplasty reviews whenever I had time, ask for information, and get so many recommendations But then I started thinking, it’s time to stop just gathering information and actually get it done!! So I went around to a lot of consultations! The clinic where I had surgery was close to the look I wanted, and during the consultation, the director explained things by drawing on paper and made everything really easy to understand, so even though it was my first surgery, I remember nodding along while listening.. The director said the issue with my nose was that it was rounded, which made my impression look rounded, but since the midface of my face is on the longer side, the nose length was also important, and it seemed important to design it so the nose would not look long. Also, since I had a hump, he said it should be corrected with osteotomy, and that it would be good to use septal cartilage and ear cartilage for the nasal tip. He also told me that after surgery, many of the things that stressed me out would be gone, so I decided to go through with the surgery lol From the nasal bridge to the nasal tip, it’s all been nicely refined, right?? I had heard from reviews that bulbous nose correction sometimes doesn’t hold as well as expected, and that there are quite a few cases of revision surgery, so honestly I was worried But!! I don’t have those worries about my nose, at least not so far?,, haha It’s only been a month, so I do still worry about swelling, but I think the visibly large swelling has mostly gone down now, and I’m just waiting for all the minor swelling to hurry up and disappear too lol After only lurking and then actually having surgery myself, what I felt is that for things like nose height and shape, there really is a height that suits each person, and I think the chances of success are higher only when those parts are fully communicated before having surgery. I suddenly remember how the director checked things like my facial length during the consultation lol I hope everyone has a successful rhinoplasty!!!
