Double eyelid surgery consultation review

First of all, I’ve had double eyelid surgery with a non-incisional method before, and I decided on revision surgery because my double eyelid came undone + I developed multiple creases! My eyelid skin is thin and my eyes are protruding, but every clinic recommended something different, so I’m posting this in case it helps anyone with eyes like mine 1. ㅇㅇㅌ - ㅇㅎㅂ Surgical method - incisional They did not recommend ptosis correction or canthoplasty. They said my eyes are already on the larger side, so if I did ptosis correction, my eyes might look too intense, and advised against it. Because the area above my eyes is somewhat sunken, they also recommended upper eyelid fat repositioning. The director was very gentle and spent a long time looking at my eyes. They tried making the line several times, and explained everything calmly, carefully, and thoroughly. The overall atmosphere of the clinic also felt calm, so it felt reassuring. 2. ㄴㅅㅎ - ㄱㅈㅎ Surgical method - non-incisional It felt like they generally recommend natural adhesion whenever possible. It seemed like they did not prefer incisional surgery, as if it was not a surgical method they were used to. As a solution for my concern, which was multiple creases, since incisional surgery -> upper eyelid fat repositioning would not be possible there, they recommended fat grafting. It felt like if the eyes seemed even remotely suitable for natural adhesion, they would recommend everything around natural adhesion no matter what. Also, incisional surgery was part of an event, so the discount rate was higher, but that also made me wonder if they were trying to gain more experience… so I felt that if I were going to do incisional surgery, this clinic was not it. 3. ㄹㅇㅇ Surgical method - incisional They said I was kind of borderline between incisional surgery and natural adhesion. They said my eyes are the type where double eyelids form easily, so trying natural adhesion one more time would not be bad, at least from how they look. But when they tried making the line, they also said it seemed like it might come undone. (Not in a scientific way, just by intuition..) They reflected my opinions well and made the line the way I wanted. The director seemed more comfortable with incisional surgery. Still, they gave me a detailed consultation so I could choose one of the two. After hearing the consultation here, I decided which surgical method to choose. This place also recommended incisional surgery + upper eyelid fat repositioning. Ptosis correction x Maybe because it is a one-doctor clinic, the consultation wait kept getting pushed back. On the day of the appointment, they delayed my reservation by 30 minutes before I arrived, and even though I arrived on time for the revised appointment, I waited over an hour. 4. ㄷㅂ Surgical method - incisional Here, as soon as they saw me, they recommended ptosis correction. Fat grafting was, well, not really. They said it would be an issue offset by incisional surgery + ptosis correction. When I said my eyes look sleepy, but none of the clinics I had consulted at so far had recommended ptosis correction, they seemed very surprised. They said it could be because ptosis correction was not their specialty, so they did not recommend it, and after looking up reviews, I felt I could kind of understand what they meant. I said I was cautious because my eyes are already vertically large, so if I did ptosis correction, they might look too intense + fierce, but they confidently told me that would not happen. At clinic 1, they mentioned Jennie as an example of a celebrity with sleepy-looking eyes, saying sleepy eyes can create a distinctive mood, but here they strongly said that is just a facial expression for photoshoots, and in reality her eyes are clear, and all top celebrities have clear eyes. Conclusion: incisional surgery + ptosis correction 5. ㅌㅌㅇ - ㅈㅇㅈ Surgical method - incisional This was the only place with a consultation fee of 10,000 won. As soon as the director saw me, they immediately gave an estimate. Incisional surgery + ptosis correction + fat grafting. They said my eyes protrude more than my brow bone, so fat grafting looked more necessary than fat repositioning. They also recommended epicanthoplasty, but well.. Rather than explaining why I needed incisional surgery or why I needed ptosis correction, they were fixated on epicanthoplasty and kept saying more that epicanthoplasty would probably make things better haha.. The consultation fee was 10,000 won, but they did not even look at me for 5 minutes. They seemed extremely busy with surgeries before and after. I question whether it was worth the consultation fee. I went because I heard they make pretty lines, but in my case, I already have an existing line I’m satisfied with, and I knew that even if it were improved, raising it by 0.5 mm from there would be the best possible outcome. So the line they made for me had no merit at all. (Actually, they just tried my existing line and did not attempt anything else at all.) If it is your first surgery, or your eyes are difficult to design a line for, or you feel completely lost, you may be able to get help in terms of design, but otherwise, I’m not sure about consulting at this clinic.. I wonder if there is any need to go. Since all the recommended surgeries are different, I’m still 고민중. I even ended up asking GPT. sigh..
