I had an overbite facing inward, the opposite of buck teeth, and I had a deep bite. So if I had done regular metal braces, because of the deep bite I would have had to do the upper and lower teeth separately. Invisalign was nice from the start because it was comfortable to close my mouth, and I think one of the advantages of Invisalign is that it’s good at pushing things outward, so it’s especially good for people with inward-facing teeth. Also, my front teeth were slightly spaced apart, so the aesthetics were poor, but once I put the Invisalign appliance in, they actually looked straighter and my teeth looked less yellow too, so the aesthetics improved even more. The downside is that I used to snack small amounts often, but while wearing it I couldn’t eat, so I ended up binge eating all at once, and for people who have frequent plans outside, it’s very inconvenient to wear properly. The patient has to take responsibility, and then it’s 90% complete.
