I had Gore-Tex + cartilage (nasal tip) for my nose 5 years ago, and at the time I thought about doing alar reduction too, but for some reason it scared me. I was afraid it might look weird if I touched too many thingsㅠㅠ But in the end, 5 years later, I started thinking, I should have done it back then..ㅋㅋ My nose was very bulbous and my nostrils were really big. Back then, I thought raising only the nasal bridge would cover it somewhat..ㅋㅋㅋㅋ A week after surgery, once I knew the surgery had finished safely, I think I regretted not doing it together from then onㅋㅋㅋ Eventually, 5 years later (10 days ago), I only had alar reduction done~ It’s not like I have a pretty nose just because I had surgery (still a bulbous nose..) But there didn’t seem to be much information about people who had only alar reduction. So I’m posting this in case I might be helpful~ First of all, even choosing a clinic was hard ㅠ So I typed exactly “alar reduction” online, called a place that looked somewhat famous in the alar reduction world? (though fame is probably advertising in the end.. anyway), made a consultation appointment, and got it done right on the day I had the consultation. I didn’t have much vacation time, so I rushed a bit. Still, they said it was during an event period, so I got it cheaply for 500,000 won..ㅋㅋ On the first and second days, I was very swollen. From the third day, it was okay~ By around day 6, even the minor swelling was almost gone. On day 7, I had the stitches removedㅋㅋ As you can see, both sides of my alae swelled differently (the left side was more swollen), and the swelling also went down unevenly. I was extremely anxious, wondering if the doctor was really a quack and had cut my nostrils unevenly, and I kept looking in the mirror, but as expected, with surgery you only know once the swelling goes down. The last photo is day 6~ My friend saw it and said it didn’t look that different, but my face looked slimmer and more feminine. Just a subtle change?? During the consultation too, they said that unless your nose width is at the level of a Black person’s nose, it’s really for self-satisfaction. So they say alar reduction has a small amount of change but high satisfaction~ Now I’m satisfied too^^ From day 3, I don’t have any photos taken from the frontㅠ
