Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

Finally, I’m 1 year post–double jaw surgery!

Wow.. It has been 12 months since I had double jaw surgery! Before surgery, I had a lot of stress because of malocclusion and a protruding lower jaw, which caused not only concerns about my appearance but also functional discomfort. I was afraid to stand in front of a camera, and even eating food wasn’t the same as it was for other people. After thinking about many things, I decided to have surgery, and I underwent double jaw surgery and two facial contouring procedures (square jaw and chin). Now I’m certain it was a really good decision. As my jaw moved back and my facial contour became more refined, everyone who sees me says I lost a lot of weight. Only my jaw changed, but the change was so big that everyone reacts the same way. When I meet acquaintances after a long time, my face looks so natural that they don’t even know I had surgery. Of course, not only my appearance but also the functional changes have improved to a degree that can’t be compared with before. I can now bite, tear, and chew all kinds of food. Eating with a proper jaw even makes the food seem to taste more refined.. haha I spend each day happily, amazed that just one jaw could change the impression of my face this much. Before surgery, whenever I looked in the mirror, I thought every day that this couldn’t be my real appearance. After worrying and worrying for years, I decided to have surgery, and as a result, I found my true self. The difficult times from the past are becoming softened and healed by the satisfaction and happiness I feel now. I have absolutely no regrets. I’m grateful that I can live my life in a version of myself that I can accept.
