Eye Surgery Reviews

For those preparing for their first double-eyelid surgery!

It’s been a little over 3 months now.. A lot of people say they drank a lot of pumpkin juice and their swelling went down a lot.... In my case, I don’t live in Korea, so it was hard to get pumpkin juice and I couldn’t drink it. Still, the swelling is going down well with time. After surgery, until I had the stitches removed, I did cold compresses often. I was lazing around at home alone and slept lying down a lot too... Still, I did cold compresses to keep it from swelling more, and after the stitches were removed, I was so bothered that I only did warm compresses for maybe 2 days? Fortunately, I didn’t have any bruising. Maybe because I trusted the surgery and felt so comfortable during it, I had no bruising from the beginning. Also, the ointment the clinic gave me didn’t suit me, so I used it for the first week and then stopped, and after that I didn’t apply any ointment at all. Still, the wound is healing naturally and well. So I’m just scribbling this down. For those having surgery for the first time... Don’t get too hung up on pumpkin juice or ointment. Of course pumpkin juice is said to be good for reducing swelling, but I don’t think taking too much is good. And they say applying any kind of ointment around the eyes is not good. If it gets into the eyes, it can make your eyes worse. The doctor said there isn’t any special ointment made specifically to apply after double-eyelid surgery.. I hope this can be a reference for those thinking about double-eyelid surgery in the future. Having surgery doesn’t automatically make you prettier... Please get enough consultation about what surgery suits you, and after surgery don’t focus only on the surgical area too much, and don’t overtake anything... I just scribbled this down... Of course I could be wrong.. This is only my personal opinion!!!
