After my first surgery, I developed severe eye scarring and sausage-like eyelids, so I ended up getting a revision surgery 3 years later! Right after the revision, it looked relatively okay when my eyes were open, but when I closed my eyes, the scars still stood out, so I eventually decided to have a third surgery. For a total of 10 years, I had been under so much stress because of the eye scars, but the swelling went down faster than I expected, and the scars that were visible when I closed my eyes have definitely improved a lot. The epicanthoplasty area is still recovering, so I think I’ll need to watch it for a bit longer.
