<I had asymmetrical eyes><Before stitch removal (after removal it swelled again, so I’m uploading before removal..)><Evening of day 4><Evening after surgery at 1 p.m.>I got my stitches removed today.. Even on the first day, the swelling and bruising weren’t severe, and they said I might need revision surgery because I may not have been able to open my eyes properly during surgery, so they left the tail stitches in. Today, the stitches were removed without revision surgery, and one of the upper epicanthoplasty stitches came loose in the middle, so I got startled and went to the clinic, but they said there was no problem, so I got one swelling laser treatment!! The way they remove the stitches is by pulling the thread, tying it on the outside, cutting it, and burying it back inside the skin. The pulling hurt, so I got a local anesthetic injection (it didn’t hurt that much! They said if you tense up, bruising and swelling get worse, so you have to relax as much as possible). They said because of the injection, it may stay more swollen for about two days, but apparently for some people it can last 2-3 weeks.
