Review of Clinic Visits for Bulbous Nose Correction

I went to 3 places for consultations because of bulbous nose correction, and I even paid refundable reservation deposits at two of them, but I’m so torn.. 1. Director ㅁㅎㅈ at ㄹㅁㅊ Using septal cartilage and ear cartilage for bulbous nose correction, osteotomy, cartilage grafting on the nasal dorsum, and alar reduction The price was the cheapest, and I communicated well with both the director and the consultant. The director only does 2 surgeries a day (though more during peak season), clearly says what cannot be done, and said surgery would be possible without an implant, so I was most drawn to this place. But what bothers me a little is that the premium reviews are not that good.. Also, there was no specific warranty like “AS is guaranteed for several years,” and when I asked how the clinic responds to side effects, the answer was a bit vague. It seems like the style has very strong likes and dislikes, and although there are many people who had good results, there also seem to be just as many people who are dissatisfied, so I’m really torn!! 2. Director ㅇㅎㅅ at ㅁㅌ Using septal cartilage for the nasal tip, adjusting the columellar angle, shaving the hump and silicone, alar reduction / nasal bone osteotomy (optional) The price came out exactly twice as much as No. 1, and I couldn’t even communicate well with the consultant about the price, so I just gave up. For cosmetic surgery, matching the patient’s needs is really important, but here, the director’s vibe was like, “Oh, you want alar reduction? There are these issues, is that okay? If you want nasal bone osteotomy, do it.” And when I said I was thinking of doing it without an implant, he held the nasal tip position with a cotton swab and then said, “Is this shape pretty?” (But maybe he really was asking whether I genuinely thought it was pretty.) He left everything up to me, and that was too confusing for me. Of course, I really liked the honest parts like “This part can’t be done” and “Even if you get nose surgery, you won’t get a huge effect.” But I thought it was a bit of a problem that there was no CT scan, and I wanted the doctor to clearly say, “If you want this kind of shape, you need to do this and that here and there,” but the feeling was too much like “If you want to do this part, then do it,” so this clinic was difficult for me. Still, I think the advantages are that the director does 2 surgeries a day, there is a 3-year AS warranty (1 year free) (simple change of mind about the shape is not included), you can check the nose shape during surgery (honestly, I probably won’t be in my right mind, so I don’t think I’d be able to judge well), and they seem to try hard with aftercare like swelling laser and antibiotics at every visit. 3. Director ㅇㅇㅈ at ㅁㅋ Bulbous nose correction, lowering the columella, nasal bone osteotomy, using autologous costal cartilage for the nasal tip, implant optional Since it uses autologous costal cartilage, the price was naturally higher than No. 1, but I think it was reasonably priced in its own way. But during the consultation, the director said that on nights, they do up to 5 or 6 surgeries a day, and during peak season up to 8, so I was really shocked, you know? When I talked to the consultant, they said the director doesn’t actually do that many, that it’s like 2 nose surgeries and the rest are eye surgeries, but I was kind of like, “Ah…?” Because the director had come out right after surgery, so the waiting time got longer, and the director seemed a little rushed But I think this issue could be resolved in terms of doctor fatigue if the surgery is scheduled as the first slot after a day off. I prefer septal cartilage, so I was a little surprised when autologous costal cartilage came up unexpectedly, but still, I think we communicated well about the shape, and he avoided the things I dislike and we had good back-and-forth. And he honestly told me that if I’m not going to use an implant, it might be better not to get nose surgery, and he said absolutely do not do alar reduction, that even after finishing the whole surgery, it wouldn’t be too late to do it then Everyone else had basically included alar reduction as a given.. I liked that he answered the other things I asked about carefully and thoroughly too. What I’m really torn about is that I preferred septal cartilage because recovery time is important to me, but here they said the size is small, so it would look better to build it up firmly with costal cartilage For AS, I heard it’s 3 years, and if it’s not a simple change of mind about the shape, it’s free; if it is a change of mind about the shape, they’ll do the surgery for only the implant and anesthesia costs. That made me think their aftercare is really good, so this is the place I’m most drawn to. But autologous costal cartilage is bothering me a bit.. Honestly, if it weren’t autologous costal cartilage, I think I would just do it here What do you all think..? It’s a long post, but if you read to the end, I’d really appreciate even one piece of advice on whether you’d recommend that I do more consultations or just get surgery at the place among these that I’m drawn to.
